After 30 minutes Ashley finishes calling. She comes out of the dressing room. To her surprise, Caleb is still waiting.
Caleb: That was quite a long talk.
Ashley: Sure was! We had a lot to catch up on.
Caleb: Who was it?
Ashley: Um, I don’t see how that’s any of your business…
Caleb: Well, in XO-IQ we have no secrets for each other. Was it a guy? Was he bothering you?
Ashley: ‘He’ is my friend Celine, and didn’t I tell you that Í promised to call HER? Wait a second… Are you jealous?!
Caleb: Me?! Jealous?! Never! The only time I was jealous was when…
Ashley: Darmala started flirting with Jodi?
Caleb: How do you know-
Ashley: Darmala told me you guys dated, and it’s pretty obvious that he likes her.
Caleb: Okay… Darmala may or may not be the reason why we broke up. But I’m over it. There are no feelings anymore!
Ashley: Isn’t it hard to be in a band with your ex?
Caleb: We are just friends. Can we change the subject now?
Ashley: Sure. Oh god, it’s 10.30pm. we should’ve been in our dorms at 8.30pm.
Caleb: Well, if we’re really quiet, maybe we’ll make it.
Ashley and Caleb sneak into Mackendrick. They made it halfway, but suddenly they heard footsteps. Ashley pushes Caleb behind a wall and also hides herself. They can hear footsteps go into another hall. Caleb takes a deep breath. Then they continue their way to their dorms. They are at Ashley’s door when they suddenly hear footsteps. Ashley and Caleb rush into Ashley’s room. The person walking into the hall seems to have heard them, because the footsteps are coming their way.
Caleb: Oh no! What do we do now?
Ashley: Lay under the bed, I have a plan.
Caleb: But-
Ashley: NOW!
Caleb hides under the bed. He hears Ashley open some drawers and placing stuff on her desk. Then the door opens. Caleb holds his breath.
Miss Diona: MISS BROOKS! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING UP AT THIS HOUR?
Ashley: Sorry miss, but I have a test tomorrow and I really don’t understand any of it.
Miss Diona: If you don’t sleep enough, you will not be focused enough to make the test in the first place. Lights out! Now!
Ashley: Yes miss. Good night miss.
Miss Diona: Rest well.
The door closes and Caleb finally exhales. He comes out for under the bed. Ashley leans to wall and takes a deep breath.
Ashley: That was so close.
Caleb: Almost too close.
Ashley: But we made it, without getting caught.
Caleb: Well, you made it. Still need to make it to my dorm.
Ashley: No, you’re not going out there. I don’t want you to get caught and get detention because of me.
Caleb: Are you saying that I should sleep here?
Ashley: This dorm has 2 beds, why not. It’s better than getting detention for a week.
Caleb: Believe me, this is WAY better than getting detention for a week.
Ashley: Well… good night, I guess.
Ashley gets into her bed. Caleb gets into the other bed. They both go to sleep.
