CHAPTER 30: Even More Announcements

DJ Maxwell’s announcement contains the following:

- Just like during Band Blast, the preparations for the show will be followed and filmed.

- Due to the huge amount of space, there will be no certain rehearsal times.

- This afternoon everyone needs to attend a dance lesson where they will be learning the opening dance. The instructions will be filmed so that everyone can use them while practicing.

- All food and drinks are free, except for the vending machines (r.i.p. Ashley’s Ice Tea)

- If anyone has questions, he’ll be at his hotel room.

After DJ Maxwell is done speaking, Sun Hi races backstage to ask him to let her switch partners. XO-IQ runs after her. After some searching Sun Hi finds DJ Maxwell’s dress room and without any hesitation she knocks on his door. The DJ says ‘Come in’ and Sun HI enters the dressing room (again, without any hesitation).

DJ Maxwell: Wow, backstage is for staff only!

Sun Hi: This is important! You have to let me switch partners! I will not survive this competition if I’ll have to dance with Linc!

DJ Maxwell: Sorry kid, but like I told Linc as well; I can’t switch anyone! It took me a full day to make the duo’s and I’m not going to start over just because two persons want to switch.

Sun Hi: But-

DJ Maxwell: No! It’s not happening.

Ashley: Now that we’re here; why do I need to perform too? I’m not even going to perform in a band?

DJ Maxwell: Simple; now we have an even number of people.

Ashley: Ahh… Well, I think that’s it. Sorry for bothering you. C’mon guys, let’s go.

XO-IQ leaves the dressing room and it trying to find their way to the exit of the backstage.

Sun Hi: This is straight up rude! Why can’t he just switch 1 person?!

Jodi: He’s probably just lazy.

Caleb: I don’t blame him! If I were as successful as him I’d be this lazy too!

Sun Hi: So when we go on the world tour you are going to become as lazy as him? Because in that case you can stay home.

Caleb: No, I didn’t mean it like that but- never mind.

Corki: Hey, shall we go to our room and play some games until the dance lesson starts?

Jodi: Sure!

Ashley: Why not?

XO-IQ goes to their room. Time flies and suddenly its already time for the dance lesson. Everyone changes into their sport clothing and makes their way to the biggest practice room.
