CHAPTER 7: Kisses Everywhere!

Corki is walking around the hall. She has her IPad in her hand. She’s trying to contact Jared. She calls him three times, but they all end up being unanswered.

Alex: Hey Corki! Checking up on Jared?

Corki: Yea, he’s probably just… busy.

Alex: Do you want my advice?

Corki: Sure!

Alex: You should distract yourself from him. See this as a sign. You wanted to break up with him before, and now he’s just not answering you. How many times have you tried to call him?

Corki: Well, today 3. Yesterday… 6 and the day before that… 7, and all were unanswered or declined.

Alex: See? It may sound harsh, but you should invest less time in him. He seems uninterested.

Corki: Are you sure?

Alex: I’m sure. But the question is, are you?

Corki: I don’t know… He would be so sad… but on the other hand… he kind of had it coming. Okay. I’m going to tell him that I think its best that we stop talking.

Corki writes a text to Jared. ‘I think it’s better for us both to have less contact. I’m sorry’. She reconsiders it, but then sends it. Alex notices she seems a little sad.

Alex: Let’s go for the full distraction. Wanna go get ice cream?

Corki: Okay sure!

Corki and Alex get ice cream. They have a lot of fun together. They walk back to school. They’re talking about algebra. Even though Alex doesn’t understand a words she’s saying he keeps on listening and ‘agrees’ to everything. At the end of the conversation they are standing in front of the girl’s dorm.

Corki: That was really fun. Thanks Alex.

Alex: Anytime! You have my number, call me whenever you need another distraction.

Corki: I will!

They both turn silent and are just staring at each other. Then Alex leans in and they kiss. They pull out.

Alex: See ya Corki!

Alex walks away, leaving Corki speechless, in a good way. She walks into the room, feeling like she’s on a pink cloud. Sun Hi and Jodi are both in the room. They notice that Corki seems off.

Sun Hi: Corki, are you okay?

Corki: *sighs* I’ m great. Better. I’m perfect!

Jodi: She haven’t been like this since she kissed Jared. Corki… WHO IS IT?!

Corki: *giggles* Alex… we went to go get ice cream, and we kissed.

Sun Hi and Jodi: ALEX?

Jodi: Who would’ve thought.

Sun Hi: You didn’t see it coming?

Jodi: Did you?

Sun Hi: Well. Maybe. Kind of.

Someone knocks on the door. It’ s Linc. He asks Sun Hi if she has time. They both leave.

Sun Hi: Hey. Did you want to talk?

Linc: Yea. Ever since you came back we haven’t spend time once. I miss you!

Sun Hi: I miss you too. Let’s spend sometime now!

Linc: What should we do?

Sun Hi: Let’s make some music! I could use some good vibes.

Linc and Sun Hi go to Ry-Ri. They sing I Promise you That together. After they finish they kiss. They smile at each other. Sun Hi looks at a big clock hanging on the wall

Sun Hi: It’s already 8pm. We should head back to school. Miss Diona will kill me if I’m not in my room at 8.30 again.

Linc: Sure, let’s go.

Linc drops Sun Hi off at the dorm. He kisses her goodbye and then goes to his own room. They day has ended well.
