MAKE IT POP SEASON 3

CHAPTER 22: Not So Ready.

Darmala is on his way to Ry-Ri. Linc told him to ask Randy to give L3 more performances. Linc also asked him to buy him lunch, but Darmala said no to that. Ashley and Jodi are at Ry-Ri, doing their homework, and at the same time they are talking about the band rivalry.

Ashley: Can you believe that one break up can cause an entire fight between two bands?

Jodi: To be honest, I’m not surprised. But that’s because I’ve been dealing with this for a year now.

Ashley: A YEAR?! God, you must be tired.

Jodi: You get used to it.

Ashley: Hmmm…

Darmala walks into Ry-Ri. He notices the 2 girls immediately. For a second he considers if it would e a good idea to talk to them, but he concludes that a small conversation wont hurt.

Darmala: Hey guys!

Jodi: Oh, hey Darmala.

Ashley: What are you doing here?

Darmala: Linc told me to ask for more performances. What are you doing here?

Ashley: Homework. Seriously, I don’t understand how teachers can think that we have time to do all this.

Jodi: I told you we should’ve asked Corki to help us.

Ashley: Corki is too busy hanging out with her boyfriend. Besides, I wasn’t planning on making my homework in general.

Darmala: Well anyways, I’m going to ask Randy for those concerts. I’ll be right back.

Darmala leaves the room. Ashley is looking for an excuse to leave too. While praying for someone to text her, doesn’t matter what the text contains, she actually receives one. It’s from Caleb.

Ashley: Ah, duty calls. Gotta go! See ya later!

Jodi: Oh okay, bye!

Ashley almost runs out of Ry-Ri. Some time passes and Darmala returns from his talk with Randy.

Jodi: Any luck?

Darmala: Sadly, no. Oh well. Hey, where did Ashley go?

Jodi: She had to go. It was urgent or something.

Darmala: Oh okay. Damn, this rivalry is already getting tiring.

Jodi: Tell me about it. Sun Hi keeps on telling that ‘Linc is a person and that we should stay away from him an his dumb band. L3? We should call it Loser3’. If she says that one more time in going to snap.

Darmala: Loser3? Well, I must admit, it’s pretty creative.

Jodi: It was a fun joke, the first 2 times, but the 7th time it got a little old.

Darmala: How the rest of the band doing actually?

Jodi: Well, you’ve seen me and Corki recently, I just told you about Sun Hi, and Caleb… Idk about him. I think he’s doing fine. He’s finally over me so that’s great.

Darmala: And are you over him?

Jodi: I, um… Yea, I am.

Darmala: That’s, cool.

There’s a silence. Darmala looks at Jodi somewhat hopeful. Jodi then looks at him too. Darmala leans in and tries to kiss her, but Jodi turns away.

Jodi: Okay… this has been fun but I have to go. Making sure that Sun Hi is planning on doing anything. Yea, bye.

Jodi quickly makes her way out of Ry-Ri, leaving Darmala kind of heartbroken.  Darmala goes back to Mackendrick to tell Linc the bad news. He just hopes that Jodi isn’t mad at him now.
