CHAPTER 29: Duo Conversations

The next day everyone is awake very early, because the organization scheduled another meeting with DJ Maxwell at the main stage. XO-IQ and L3 both arrive at the main stage way too early. The 2 bands face each other.

Sun Hi: Well, well, well, look who showed up too.

Linc: We’re you surprised to see us, huh?

Sun Hi: We weren’t, but it seemed like you guys were.

Linc: Pff we weren’t surprised.

Sun Hi: Yea… the scared look on you guy’s faces did not give it away at all. Anyways, Linc I need to talk to you.

Linc and Sun Hi walk a few meters away together.

Corki: Alex, I need to talk to you too.

Alex: Uh… sure!

Corlex walks away as well.

Ashley: Now that we’re all leaving; Caleb, come please!

Caleb: O-okay.

Cashley walks away too.

Darmala: So… that leaves us again, doesn’t it…? Do you have anything fun to tell?

Jodi: Look Darmala… I don’t think I’m going to feel the same way as you anytime soon, okay? I would love to still be friends, but can you please stop the flirting?

Darmala: Oh, yep, okay. I was about to give up anyway… So… just friends?

Jodi: Just friends!

They shake each others hands. Time to follow the 3 other duo conversations we have going on! Let’s start with Corlex;

Alex: *a bit nervous tone* Yay! We’re both at the same contest again!

Corki: Lying to me, huh?
Alex: Hey! You lied to me too!

Corki: No I didn’t, I said me and XO-IQ were going on a trip, and we happened to have a 2 ½ hours bus ride. I’d call that quite a trip.

Alex: Since when did you become good at lying?

Corki: Since when did you stop being good at lying?

Alex: Hey I’m sorry okay, but Linc can be kinda scary.

Corki: You know what, since I lied too, it’s okay. I forgive you.

Alex: And I forgive you too.

Corki gives Alex a kiss on the cheek and then goes over to talk to Jodi.

Cashley’s convo is next;

Caleb: Is there something I forget? I packed everything right? *mumbles* toothbrush, pyjama’s, drinks- DRINKS. I’ll buy you some Ice Tea right now okay!

Ashley: Calm down- That isn’t what this is about!

Caleb: Oh phew-

Ashley: When are we going to tell the rest?

Caleb: Tell them what…?

Ashley raises her eyebrow and looks at Caleb like he’s dumb.

Caleb: Ohhhh… I don’t know?

Ashley: I’ll just tell the girls and then everything will still be normal and casual, okay?

Caleb: Ahh okay. I’ll tell the guys, if they even care- ah that’s not the point.

Ashley: Okay! *smiles*

Cashley walks back to the group and merges into their conversation. Last but not least: Slinci;

Linc: What do you want?

Sun Hi: I want for you to not ruin this for me!

Linc: Is this about the fact that we’re dance partners? You think I was jumping around being happy when I found out we were in a duo?!

Sun Hi: You should’ve.

Linc: No. YOU should not ruin this for me. You need to show up at all the rehearsals and not be distracted like you were at Bland Blast.

Sun Hi: What happened at Band Blast isn’t important! Whatever, I’m going to ask Dj Maxwell to switch partners anyway, because there’s no way I’m going to dance with you.

Linc: Well good luck, because I already asked him and he said that there is no room for switching.

Sun Hi: Pff, doesn’t matter. I’ll make sure he’ll let me switch!

Linc: I’d like to see you try.

Linc walks away to L3, and right at that moment the door to the main stage is being opened by some employees. L3, XO-IQ and the rest of the band make their way inside.
