Caleb spends almost all night working on the song. He only gets 3 hours of sleep, but he thinks it’s all worth it, because the song is finished. He goes to the girls dorm to present them the song. It’s weekend, so they don’t have any classes. Sun Hi, Jodi and Corki are all at their dorm. Caleb lets them listen to the song.
Sun Hi: That’s pretty good!
Corki: If she doesn’t forgive you after hearing this then I don’t know what wrong with her.
Jodi: How are you gonna get her to listen to it?
Caleb: That’s something I wanted to ask you guys. Would you guys mind performing it?
Sun Hi: Caleb, you messed up, so you show it.
Caleb: Oh come on, you guys helped Jared prompose to Corki too…
Jodi: Okay then… But you owe us.
Caleb: Sure! Now we need to figure out when, and where.
Corki: Maybe we could invite her somewhere and then surprise her with it.
Sun Hi: I mean, we could just do it in the hallway, that way there will be a lot of people looking at me!
Caleb: Sure, who’s going to invite her?
Jodi: Well, we could also text her at the moment itself and call it a Sun Hi emergency. That way we’re a 100% sure she’ll come.
Corki: But are going to do it now, or tomorrow?
Caleb: I vote today, I just want to get it over with.
Sun Hi: Should we rehearse it then?
Jodi: Sure!
XO-IQ starts rehearsing. After 30 minutes they already know it through and through. They start setting up some lights in the hallway, but whilst they are doing that, Mr. Stark runs into them.
Mr. Stark: Mr. Davis! What exactly do you think you’re doing?!
Caleb: I um, am setting something up for a, umm…
Jodi: We have a project to do. A singing assignment!
Mr. Stark: So you got an assignment for the performing arts without me, the ONLY arts teacher, knowing? Nice try.
Caleb: Okay fine, I messed something up, and now I want to apologize with a song. We promise to clean everything up once we’re done!
Mr. Stark: Hmm… Okay. Fine. But only because the school as been a bit boring lately. Good luck apologizing.
Mr. Stark walks away and XO-IQ continues to set up everything. When they are done, they text Ashley that there’s a Sun Hi emergency in the hallway. Ashley texts back, saying that she’ll be there as soon as possible. Sun Hi, Jodi and Corki hide, and Caleb waits to see if Ashley is coming. After some time, Ashley arrives. She looks around, trying to find Sun Hi, but she only sees Caleb walking up to her.
Caleb: Hi, umm-
Ashley: Sorry, this really not the right moment. Have you seen Sun Hi?
Caleb: There is no Sun Hi emergency…
Ashley: Seriously?! Have you at least found my notebook?
Caleb: Well, uhh…
Ashley: Oh come on! I have more important things to do than this.
Ashley turns around to walk away, but Caleb grabs her arm.
Caleb: Please, stay a little longer, I have something for you! Okay guys, show time!
Caleb pushes some random button, and music starts playing. Sun Hi, Jodi and Corki come out of their hiding spots.
*time to pretend they are performing again :) This time they’re singing 8Dayz because why not. Aye!*
The song has ended. Caleb looks at Ashley. She seems less angry then 3 minutes before. He walk towards her to talk to her.
Caleb: Okay… Seeing I kinda stole a song from you, I thought, why not give her a song back. So I wrote one, and made a beat and maybe you are still mad at me but maybe this kind of made it better-
Ashley: Dude, can you just stop talking, okay? We’re fine. That was really sweet actually…
Caleb: Really? That’s awesome!
Ashley: But let me get one thing straight; if you touch ANYTHING in my room without my permission, you’re gonna regret it. Okay? *smiles*
Caleb: Loud and clear!
Ashley: Good! Oh and by the way, *turns to Sun Hi, Jodi and Corki*, that was awesome guys! Thanks!
Corki: No problem!
Ashley: But I have to go again, I was actually working on a schedule of the month, you know, to see which days we’ll be performing.
Caleb: I could help with that! And maybe after that we can search for your notebook? I don’t think I’ve searched everywhere, there’s got to be some places I’ve missed!
Ashley: Sure.
Caleb: Okay let’s go then.
