MAKE IT POP SEASON 3

CHAPTER 11: Welcome To The Team!

No one turns out to be at Ry-Ri. Ashley checked backstage and even checked the bathrooms. Even the old lady that normaly sits at the bar isn't there. Ashley doesn't go back to Mackendrick, but she takes out her IPad and starts working on the design for the background of the stage. She sits down in one of the bar stools. After 10 minutes she concludes that the place is kind of boring at the moment. She walks onto the stage and looks at the DJ-booth. It's still on and connected to the speakers. She types in her own spotify playlist and pushes shuffle. The first song to start is I Can't Stop Me by TWICE.

Ashley: *thinks* Oh god now I want to dance. What if someone walks in tho.... Nah I don't care.

Ashley starts dancing but not with her full energy, but when the chorus comes, she doesn't hold back. She dances like she's the 10th TWICE member. After the song ends, she's exhausted. She lays down on a sofa located in the back of the room. Then the cellphone which is hung up on the wall starts ringing. Ashley looks around if there's anyone else who can pick up, then realized that she's still alone. She walks up to the phone and picks up.

Ashley: Hello?

???:~~~~

Ashley: Who I am? Depends, who are you?

???:~~~~

Ashley: You own this place? That's pretty cool. My name is Ashley, I hang out with XO-IQ.

???:~~~~

Ashley: You liked my dancing? Thanks, it took me a long time to learn it.

???:~~~~

Ashley: I'm sorry, but no. I like working with a band, but performing with one? Not really for me.

???:~~~~

Ashley: Like some sort of manager? I mean, if everyone's okay with it, I would love to!

???:~~~~

Ashley: Thank you sir! Have a nice day!

Ashley hangs up the phone. She sends a text to Caleb:

*over text*

Ashley: Hey, your boss, Randy, just offered me to be a sort of manager for XO-IQ. Are you okay with that? And can you maybe ask the girls what they think? Thanks! :)

Caleb: That's awesome. Wait a second. *adds Ashley to the XO-IQ group chat*

Hey guys! Randy just asked Ashley to be our sort of manager. What do guys think ab that? I'm okay with it!

Sun Hi: I mean, sure. She hangs out with us so it's fine.

Corki: Sound fun!

Jodi: Hell yes! Welcome to the team Ashley!!

Ashley: Thanks guys! This is going to me awesome!

*end of texting*

Ashley puts down her phone. She feels really happy. She starts working on the background for the stage again. She adds the animal icons, and draws one for herself too. Not even 1 minute later she gets a text from Caleb:

*over text*

Caleb: U still at Ry-Ri?

Ashley: Yea, y?

*end of texting*

The door opens and someone walks into Ry-Ri.

Caleb: This is so awesome!! Now we'll get to spend so much more time together!

Ashley: Great that your happy! I'm also really excited. Want to see my progress of the background?

Caleb: Sure!

Ashley: *shows the background* And I even made my own animal icon, it's a pig! What do you think?

Caleb: That is the cutest pig I have ever seen! Kind of fits you...

Ashley: A pig? Umm, let's call that a creative compliment.

Caleb: No, I meant the cute part...

Ashley: Thanks... What time is it?

Caleb: Umm... it's around 9.30pm. Why?

Ashley: Shit, I promised to call someone at 9.15. Excuse me for a second.

Ashley walks backstage. Caleb sits on the sofa contiplating his life decisions.
