CHAPTER 26: Leaving And Arriving

It’s the next day. The bus is leaving in 30 minutes. XO-IQ is already inside the bus. They've checked their bags 3 times to make sure they haven’t forgotten anything. L3 is at that very moment stressing out; Alex hasn’t packed his bags yet, because “the vibe has his own schedule”.

Linc: Alex, hurry! We only have 30 minutes!

Alex: Yea yea, I'll be done in time.

Darmala: Why would you even wait this long?!

Alex: I told you: I was busy.

Linc: Doing what? Yoga?!

Alex: As a matter of fact; yes. Yes I was doing yoga.

Darmala: There’s no way you have been doing yoga 24/7!

Alex: It doesn’t matter how long I wa-

Linc: IF YOU’D JUST PACK INSTEAD OF AGRUING WE’D BE INSIDE THAT BUS ALREADY! WE ONLY HAVE 15 MINUTES LEFT. HURRY!

Alex: Okay, okay, chill.

Alex finishes packing and L3 races down the stairs. They make it to the bus just in time, but when they enter the bus, they get the shock of their lives; They see XO-IQ sitting in the back of the bus. Sun Hi puts on a sarcastic smile and waves at Linc. L3 sits down in the front seats of the bus.

Darmala: How the hell did they find out?

Linc: Alex, are you sure you didn’t tell Corki anything?

Alex: So now it’s suddenly my fault? Couldn’t Darmala have said anything to Jodi?

Darmala: I haven’t spoken to Jodi in 4 days! How could I have said anything about it to her?

Alex: Maybe you texted her or something, I don’t know?!

Linc: Guys, stop bickering, I already know how they found out. *Shows the announcement on DJ Maxwell’s Instagram* Sun Hi and Caleb both liked the post, so they found out through here…

Darmala: Shit…

Linc: We really have to bring our A-game now.

Alex: Yep…

XO-IQ noticed L3 entering the bus. They laughed at their shocked faces.

Sun Hi: *while laughing* Did you see Linc’s face?! They really didn’t know that we were coming too!

Ashley: We really caught them by surprise!

Corki: It’s exactly 1.30pm, the bus should depart now!

Right after Corki said that, the bus starts to ride. Everyone chatted with each other on the bus, so the 2 ½ hour bus ride felt like 30 minutes. They all arrive at this huge hotel, even bigger than the one Band Blast was hosted at. Every band gets assigned a hotel room. XO-IQ goes to their hotel room. It has 2 bedrooms, a living space and a bathroom; Sun Hi and Jodi share a room, same as Ashley and Corki and Caleb offers to sleep on one of the couches.

Sun Hi: This place is awesome!

Jodi: DJ Maxwell really stepped up their game!

Someone knocks on the door of the room. Jodi opens the door and comes back with a clipboard with multiple papers on it.

Jodi: It was someone from the organization. He gave me the schedule of this week, the order the bands will perform in, some ground rules and a few other important things.

Ashley: Great. Let’s see… It’s 4.30pm right now. Is there anything on the schedule for today?

Jodi: Here it says we have to be at the main stage at 4.45pm.

Caleb: Let’s go then, because we first have to find it, and seeing how big this hotel is, it might take some time.

Sun Hi: Oki, let’s go find our way to stardom!

Everyone laughs and leaves the room.
