CHAPTER 24: Eavesdropping

It's the next day. Corki is on her way to buy some water in the cafeteria. While on her way, she runs into Alex.

Corki: Hey Alex!

Alex: Hai Corki! I've missed you!

Corki: Aww I've missed you too! Even though it's only been around 3 days.

Alex: Doesn't matter!

Corki: Are you going to do anything fun this week?

Alex: Um, well, I umm, nah... Not really. Well, not nothing at all, but no, nothing special.

Corki: *raises an eyebrow* hmmm, okay.

Alex: And you?

Corki: I... I'm going... on a trip?

Alex: A trip?

Corki: Yes, a trip. With XO-IQ.

Alex: Where are you guys going?

Corki: Where? Oh, umm... We haven't decided yet.

Alex: Right...

Corki: Well, it was nice to see you today but I really have to go now! Bye!

Corki gives Alex a kiss on the check and walks away as fast as she can, hoping that Alex didn't suspect anything. Alex does the same thing. Meanwhile Ashley is busy songwriting. Caleb had sent her 10 different beats, so she had much to choose from. She picked a beat quite easily, because it stood out to her.

Ashley gets a text in the XO-IQ group chat:

Sun Hi: How's the progress?

Jodi: Stressful.

Corki: Small. Even though I (successfully) lied for the first time in my life!

Sun Hi: You did?

Corki: Yep! Alex asked if I was going to do anything special this week, so I had to lie.

Caleb: Damn I'm proud of you Corki.

Corki: Thank youJ

Ashley: Okay go off Corki!! Progress is pretty decent. I've got the chorus done! Jodi, how far done are the outfits?

Jodi: Sun Hi's outfit is done. Sun Hi can you come fit the clothes?

Sun Hi: Later. I'm busy now.

Jodi: Doing what?

Sun Hi: Spying on the devil.

Jodi: Ur spying on Linc?

Corki: Well I'm glad I don't have to do it anymore.

Ashley closes off the group chat and keeps on writing. Sun Hi is (as you just read) spying on Linc. She is hiding behind a sofa on the other side of the hall, waiting for some action. After 15 minutes of waiting, Sun Hi sees Alex and Darmala entering Linc's dorm. When they close the door behind themselves, Sun Hi walks closer to the door and starts listening to their conversation. The first subjects they talked about were pretty boring, but then Alex brings up the WBC. Sun Hi hears him tell Linc and Darmala that he had to lie to Corki. Sun Hi quickly realizes that L3 will also be competing in the competition and immediately calls a code Double Pink Sun Hi-emergency.
