Lestrade had called Sherlock again to Sally, Anderson and (Y/N)'s displeasure, Lestrade had told Anderson to wait back at the yard incase of backup need.

This case they had been working on for a few day's, Lestrade gave them nervous looks on the way to the scene waiting for them to explode. A texted this is how this trip had started one small text from Sherlock that's all they had to go on. The building is old on the outside but looks pretty modern on the inside. The room look empty on first glance but once they turned their torches on they could clearly see it was not, in the middle of the room laid a man in a heap. The normal procedure would be to check his pulse but on closer inspetion it was clear it was not nessesary as he had a gaping wound going across his chest making it clear that the man was in fact good as dead. Just to top it all off there was a massive pool of blood surrounding the body, which was enough to make anyone with a serious fear of blood faint.

"Sherlock, Jesus" Lestrade finally spoke up pointing his torch in the opposite direction, Sherlock was in the cornor wrapped up in his own black coat "the man is the serial killer, I killed him' Sherlock said. There seemed something off about his voice which sent shivers down (Y/N)'s spine, they've waited for this day since the day Sherlock entered the first crime scene, Anderson wasn't even there to see it. But for some reason she seemed to hold off. "Sherlock, where's John?" Lestrade asked "I killed him" Sherlock said ignoring the question "Where's John?" Lestrade said again "Back at the flat" Sherlock replied Lestrade and Sally left to look upstairs "Leave me here and I'll cuff the Freak shall I?" (Y/N) said as the shock wore off and a hint of glee came into her voice. "Yeah" Lestrade said.

"Finally, I knew you would break at some point" (Y/N) said getting the handcuffs ready "Let's see them then" she said but Sherlock didn't put his hands up, she wasn't expecting him to, she grabs the sleeve of his coat and jerks his arm foreward. Reaching instinctivly for the wrist, her fingers came into contact with his flesh, she doens't understand why his wrist is wet and sticky at first maybe the victim had been more bloody than what she had originally thought but then she sees handcuffs already there, still locked around one wrist.

She starts to understand and in came in a horrifc jolt and she screamed, which was not at all proffesional of her.

"SALLY!!!!"

Lestrade first heard the scream and Sally heard (Y/N) call her name, they've never heard (Y/N) sound like that before, she sounded scared it sent shivers down Sally's spine. Sally raced down the stairs, practically falling down them she was going that fast as Lestrade followed. (Y/N) was knelt on the floor a few feet away from Sherlock with the expression of utter horror "(Y/N)?" Sally said, (Y/N) whimpered she actually whimpered. Sally and Lestrade rushed over to her, Sally pulled (Y/N) into a comforting hug when John came through the door "Sherlock?" he said, Sherlock looked over and Lestrade and Sally got their first look at his wrists "Oh god" Lestrade said "John.. I.. I killed him" Sherlock said pointing over at the body that layed on the floor sounding afraid. John looked a Sherlock's wrist "Sherlock, I know, Greg called me" he said, "I killed him" Sherlock whispered before collapsing.

"Sally?" (Y/N) said sounding scared "Yeah, don't worry, I'm not going to move" Sally said, Lestrade took his coat off and wrapped it around (Y/N) to keep her warm. "Lestrade call an ambulance please now" John said trying to control the bleeding and cleaning the wound. Lestrade took his phone out and rang the ambulance. John had finished cleaning the wound and you could see how deep it went. (Y/N) could bare to look at the room they were, couldn't bare to witness what might happen she closed her eyes "You okay?" Sally asked (Y/N) nodded. "Sally could you take her to the car?" Lestrade said "Yeah" Sally said getting up, she help (Y/N) up.

They got in the car a waited fo Lestrade to come out. Lestrade came out once the ambulance had Sherlock on board "Right back to the Yard, Anderson knows and is waiting in my office" Lestrade said before driving back.

Once they got back to the office Sally took (Y/N) straight to Anderson befroe having to leave to file the paperwork. Anderson ran up to (Y/N) and lifted her up onto a chair, she clung to him crying.

Flashback

The crime had reminded her of one she went on when she was with another force no one on the team ever treated her like famliy or ever wanted to. It was only up until Sally found her sat outside the yard with tears streaming down her face that they first met, (Y/N) was told that she had lost her job with the force and had no choice but to go home, Sally brought her up to her office where Anderson was sat while Anderson kept an eye on her Sally went upto Lestrade's office and explained (Y/N) situation and that was when she was hired to work at Scotland yard.

PRESENT DAY:

Sally ahd finished the paperwork early thanks to Lestrade, she went up and check on (Y/N) finding that Anderson was now sat in the seat with (Y/N) asleep on his lap. "I see it went well" Sally said running her fingers through (Y/N)'s hair "Well, she took time but I thinks she was mentally exhausted with the memory" Anderson said.
