SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd 2018

"kennedy!" my mom stood up abruptly from the couch and ran to me as i walked in the front door.

i saw michael was sitting with her in our living room.

"where have you been?!" she asked frantically.

"i'm fine." i tried to reassure her.

"you were just hospitalized from an overdose! they called a code yellow for a missing patient, do you know how scared i was to find out that patient was you?"

"i know, i'm sorry mom but i have to do something." my voice was strained as i tried to wriggle out of her tight hug.

"you need to talk with us, that's what you need to do."

"i will! i just need to do something really important."

"where did you go?" she asked as i began to walk towards the stairs.

"i know where she went." michael said, causing my mom and i to look at him.

"i saw your instagram live. you went back to the 80s, didn't you?"

"you saw my livestream?" i questioned.

"of course i did. i'm your manager, i get alerts every time you're active on any social media."

"oh." i mumbled, feeling like i've been stalked under a microscope by him.

"please come talk with us, ken." my mom pleaded, "so much has been going on with you and i just want my little girl back."

she began wiping her tears, "you were in a car crash, a coma, time travelled, which i still don't understand, assaulted, your bestfriend died, now you're famous and have a criminal record and you just overdosed."

well shit. when you sum up what my life has been in the past four months, it sounds absolutely crazy.

"mom, i know. it's been a lot and i'm sorry. i've been trying to handle it all and figure it out on my own and i think i'm almost there. so i'll be down in a little bit, i just need to do something." i said and then ran up the stairs and into my room.

i opened my laptop and went straight to google. i was ready to do all the digging i could on hunter and his dad.

he said i keep saying i'm going to ruin him but i'm not even trying. well, we'll see about that.

i'm not going to let a lying predator of a frat boy and his crooked cop father ruin my life any more than it already is.

if anyone's gonna ruin my life, it's me.

a facetime call on my laptop came through, it's harry. i groaned, excepting the call.

"hi, harry i can't talk right now."

"you're back!" he ignored me, "how was the 80s?"

"it was great, i saved michael from becoming more of an alcoholic and i had a milkshake."

"wow. that sounds great. can you take me with you next time?"

"it doesn't work like that." i shook my head, "i really have to go though-"

"but i think it'd be so cool. i could meet a young jennifer aniston." he was looking off into the distance in a daydream.

"you don't even like blondes!" i exclaimed.

"but-"

"bye, harry! i'll call you later!" i said and then quickly hung up on him to continue my research.

2 hours and a postmasted starbucks later, i found a lot of shit on hunter and his dad. pure evidence i can use in my case against them. i should be my own lawyer at this point.

i ran downstairs with my phone in my hands. my mom and michael were eating at the dining room table.

"hi sweetie. i asked michael if he'd like to stay for dinner. are you hungry? i made chicken."

my stomach growled at the thought of eating.

"yeah, i just need to print something real quick." i walked past them and into my mom's office.

i stood in the doorway as the printer made obnoxious noises. my mom and michael watched as i  stood there awkwardly.

"what're you printing? a highschool textbook?" michael asked.

"evidence hunter and his dad are lying assholes." i said loudly enough so they could hear.

michael furrowed his eyebrows, placing his napkin on the table and standing up.

"what evidence?" he asked, coming in the office with me.

i picked up the papers that had been printed and showed him. i watched as his eyes scanned over them.

"i found archives about hunter's allegations. they've been taken down everywhere all thanks to his dad. i tried to find stuff about him to prove he's a crooked cop but i could only find one article about him possibly being involved in a scandal with the police department."

"you're printing more?" michael asked.

"15 more pages to go." i nodded as the printer kept pushing out more paper inch by inch.

"good. this is good. we'll give it to your lawyer tomorrow."

i smiled, feeling like we're actually getting somewhere will all this legal bullshit.

"i'm gonna bring it to joe too."

"why?" michael asked.

"to get hunter fired. he planted pills under my chair trying to get me kicked off the cast!"

michael shook his head slowly, "no, kennedy i think we should wait."

i huffed air out of my nose, "okay."

"don't give me that look, i can see you're planning something."

"i'm not planning anything." i shook my head, taking the papers away from him.

"margot, make sure your daughter doesn't try to sneak out tonight." michael said to my mom.

i rolled my eyes.

"don't worry, she's not going anywhere."

michael held up his finger at me, "don't do anything stupid with this evidence."

"i won't." i shook my head.

he gave me one last glance before leaving the room.

i'm definitely going to do something stupid with this evidence.
