SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18th 2018

knocking at my door and my name being called stirred me out of my deep sleep. i felt so comfortable i didn't want to wake up or even move.

"kennedy! are you up?" it was my mom.

i opened my eyes and cleared my throat, "yeah." i lazily called out.

"good, you have to leave in thirty minutes." i heard her footsteps disappear from outside of my room.

i sat up, looking down at my legs. i was still in my outfit from last night, heels on and everything. i must've just crashed onto the bed and immediately fell asleep after sneaking back in.

the costume party was fun but it ended for us when the coreys jumped up on stage and tried to take over the band that was performing. i have a clear memory of haim ripping the microphone out of the hands of the lead singer and feldman banging on the drums. that left jason and i to run and grab them, apologizing to the band members who were very angry and confused.

i sighed as i pulled myself out of bed. it was 8:30 am and i had to be on set in an hour. i had just enough time to quickly shower, get ready to look somewhat presentable, and grab a granola bar.

i decided to drive myself today, thinking it'll make me feel more like an adult. once i found a parking spot, i quickly got out of the car and ran towards set. i saw a guy around my age struggling to get in the doors as he unsteadily held a bunch of coffees.

"here let me help." i ran the rest of the way and took a carrier from his hands and opened the door.

"thanks, i really didn't wanna fuck up on my first day." he had light brown eyes and almost completely black hair.

"who has you carrying coffees in like this?" i giggled, walking towards the elevator with him.

"who doesn't? i'm an intern." he shrugged, "film student at cal arts."

"oooh." i smiled, "that's cool."

we stepped into the elevator and he pressed the correct level. my heart began to race a little, still traumatized from my stuck in an elevator incident.

"so," i spoke up, trying to distract myself, "what's your name?"

"hunter." he smiled at me.

i nodded my head.

"and you?" the elevator stopped on the 8th floor.

"kennedy." i said as the doors opened and i walked out.

"wait-" hunter said, catching up to me, "you're kennedy as in ... kennedy white, lead in this movie?" his eyebrows furrowed a bit and his eyes were wide.

i nodded, scrunching my nose.

"and you time travelled to 1980 ... 9?"

"87." i corrected him, "but unfortunately, yes. that is me."

he looked a little star struck as we walked down the rest of the hallway and then into the back room. we were shooting in here today.

we placed the coffees down on the table and hunter opened his mouth to say something but the director came up behind us.

"kennedy, why're you bringing coffees in? you need to be in hair and makeup."

"oh, sorry, i was just helping him." i looked at hunter and then back at joe.

"let's go, chop chop!" he said, clapping loudly in front of hunter and i's faces, causing us to jump and then quickly go our separate ways.

i went behind the black curtain. it was set up with makeup tables, racks of clothes, and it smelled strongly of hairspray.

i spotted the chair that read,

"WHITE
LIZ"

my last name, and characters name. i took a seat and the makeup artist smiled at me.

"what, am i just invisible to you now?" a voice said behind me and i made eye contact with him through the mirror.

"michael? what are you doing here?" i turned around to look at him, but the woman holding foundation in her hands turned my head back to her.

michael moved in front of me, leaning his back against the makeup table so i didn't have to turn my head.

there was a stupid grin on his face, "i wanted to inquire with you about what you'd think of me managing you ... again."

"but you're retired from management?" i stated, but it came out as a question.

"thought i could come back for you." he shrugged, "help you out with this role, make sure you keep a good head on your shoulders."

as makeup was being put on to my face, i smiled.

"so what do you think?"

"yes! yes, please. that'd be great actually."

"great, it's a deal kiddo."

after a long day of shooting in a 1960s outfit and acting as ted bundy's, or i mean, zac efron's girlfriend, i was finally able to leave.

i'm only able to work for 6 hours a day since i need at least 3 for school. it definitely puts a dent in production but it's their problem for choosing a minor for this role.

i was currently on my way to harrison's house to pick up my schoolwork i missed today. i had my soundcloud playlist on as i neared his neighborhood.

the sun was setting, it was past golden hour but right before it got too dark.

i spotted harrison on his bike, his hoodie was half off and laying around his neck, exposing his chest and stomach.

i rolled down my window as he drove up next to me.

"what's the point of the hoodie if you're not gonna fully wear it?" i teased, driving about 5 mph so he could keep up with me.

"i'm giving my neighbors a show." he smirked, subtly flexing his abs.

i rolled my eyes with a smile.

"how was your day as a movie star?"

i laughed at his choice of words to describe me, "it was alright. how was highschool?"

"i failed my german test." he said and then stood up on his bike, pedaling faster. i followed him into his driveway and then got out of the car.

"your stuff is inside." he said, motioning for me to follow him inside.

"come on, quick! before paparazzi sees you!" he tried to block me from the imaginary photographers.
a happy laughed erupted from my throat as he walked me into his house.
