corey haim's point of viewi almost trip up the stairs as i try to keep up with kennedy running to my room.
i stood in the doorway, out of breath. she's manically searching through my movie collection, the plastic covers clashing against each other with each one she tosses out of her way.
"where is it?" she asks me.
"where's what?"
"the lost boys! don't you have it?"
"what? no-"
her head whips around, looking up at me from her kneeling position.
"you don't have a copy of your own movie?"
"kennedy, it's not even out on tape yet!"
her eyebrows scrunch together and she drops the collection of movies from her hands.
"it's been-" she counts on her fingers, "3 months since it premiered and it's not out yet?"
"no." i shook my head, laughing.
"geez. everything is so slow in the 80s." she mumbled to herself, kindly putting all my movies back in their place on the shelves.
"look, jason said you were in the lost boys, so it's not like you no longer exist here in 1987 anymore." i said, walking over to help her.
"no, he said brandy was in the lost boys with him. they literally do not know who i am anymore!" i see her look at me through my peripheral vision, "but why do you still know who i am?"
"maybe because i was with you all night and came through the portal with you? it'd be kind of funny if we stepped back into the 80s and i suddenly didn't know who you are anymore." i chuckle to myself.
"so if i go back home and then come back here ... are you not going to remember me? like they don't?" her tone finally softens and i look over at her.
she looks scared.
"i-"
"don't say you'll always remember me." she holds her finger up, "that's what you all said 3 weeks ago in your basement during our group hug. and now look at them!"
"okay, i know what we have to do." i jump up to my feet, "we call jake! he's a nerd about this type of stuff right? he helped you and naomi figure out all the time travel stuff in the first place!"
"well what if he doesn't remember me either? what if it's just you?" she asks.
"there's only one way to find out."

kennedy and i sat on the edge of my bed with my phone in between us, just staring at it.
"corey, if he doesn't know who i am i think i'm gonna pass out." she begins to whine.
"please don't do that."
"ugh!" she groans and pushes the phone closer to me. "okay, you call him."
"no, he's your friend! you call him." i push it back to her.
"if he doesn't know who i am then he'll hang up on me! you call!" she shoves the phone forcefully towards me.
i roll my eyes at her and pick it up. the buzzing automatically starts as i hold the phone to my ear, and then i punch in the numbers.
kennedy's head is inches from mine as i hold it between us so we can both hear.
"hello?" jake picks up.
"hey, jake! it's corey haim."
"oh, hey! what's up man?"
