SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12th 2018kennedy's point of view
spending the day at a chemistry read with the zac efron was something i don't think i could get used to. the casting agent said we were doing very well the entire time, but i was distracted by everyone else in the room staring at me.
i just knew there were questions brewing in their minds they wanted to ask me. when i told my mom the other day that everyone wants to use me as science experiment now, i was not exaggerating in the slightest bit.
"okay, that was great guys!" neely, the casting agent excitedly said, "we'll meet back here on wednesday for a table read."
"it was nice meeting you." zac said, standing up and holding out his hand.
"yeah, you too." i smiled, shaking it.
"kennedy." neely said, "someone's waiting downstairs for you."
i furrowed my eyebrows but said, "okay." and grabbed my binder and phone off the table before leaving the room. i took the elevator down to the first floor.
i stared ahead waiting for the doors to open and when they did, my eyes scanned the lobby for anyone i could know.
i held my binder against my chest as i walked towards the doors.
"hey." a man's voice said behind me.
i turned around and was met with a guy. my brain began to scan his familiar face. it was michael.
"wh- what are you doing here?" i couldn't help but smile.
"thought i'd surprise my best client." he shrugged with a smile.
"your best?" i scoffed, "it's okay, you don't have to lie to me. i know i caused you a migraine every day."
"well, luckily for me i just dreamt everything. migraines weren't included."
"oh yeah? i bet the alternative universe you wishes he could say the same thing."
"huh?" he questioned.
"nevermind. i'll save you the confusing explanation."
he shook his head, "okay. well, i just wanted to stop in say hi, see how today went."
"it was good! or at least that's what they said, i couldn't even tell you how i thought i did." i sighed.
he smiled, laughing a little, "do you need a ride anywhere?"
i thought about my plans i had made for after this, to go back to the portal. i guess ubering there wouldn't be very smart because they'd just be dropping me off on the side of the road.
"actually, yes. if you don't mind."
"i don't mind." he said, pushing open the door for me.

"what the hell are we doing pulled over on santa monica boulevard?" michael asked, watching all the cars pass us.
"i'm going back to the 80s." i nonchalantly said, looking at myself in the sun visor mirror. i pulled my sunglasses down from on top of my head and put them on.
"what?" he asked, very confused.
"yes, with the help of this little thing." i pointed at the gold ring on my finger.
