It was Christmas day, the sun began to cascade into your bedroom. Marko still had his arms wrapped tightly around your naked body. You decided to close your eyes again and just relax. Being wrapped up in his arms felt like home. You were with your mate. Your one true love and nothing could ruin that. You snuggled up as close as you could to him.

Your peace and quiet was interrupted by someone bursting through the door. "You two better be decent." Said Paul. "Go away Paul." You mumbled well still having your eyes closed. "Its Christmas get up." Said Paul as he walked further into your room. "Take one more step and your a dead man." Marko mumbled. "But I'm already dead." Said Paul. Even though you couldn't see it, you knew he had a smug look on his face. "How does a stake through the heart sound?" Asked Marko.

You heard Paul leave the room closing the door behind him. "We should probably get up. I've gotta take a shower anyways." You mumbled still in Markos arms. "Can I join?" Asked Marko. "No." You said smirking. "We will see about that." Marko thought. "You know I can hear your thoughts right?" You joked.

You slowly started to free yourself from Markos grasp and grabbed your clothes out of your drawers before heading to your en-suite bathroom. Before you opened the door, you looked back at Marko still sulking in bed. "Can you please check on the guys for me. I dont want Paul catching the house on fire." You joked causing Marko to chuckle. "Anything for you angel." He smirked and got up to begin throwing his clothes on. Note to self, get the guys more clothes.

You stepped into the bathroom and turned the water on until it was just right before stepping into the shower. Now that you were a hybrid, your body was always cold so it felt nice to be able to let the hot water run down your body. You quickly washed your hair and body before rinsing off. You turned the water off and stepped out of the shower.

You took a towel and wrapped it around your body before grabbing another towel to dry your hair the best you could.

Once you were dry, you threw your clothes on and stepped out of the bathroom.

You noticed David was in your room. "Whats going on David?" You asked. David sat down on your bed and patted the spot beside him for you to sit. "Paul went out and bought everyone these stupid shirts." Said David. "And?" You said confused. Normally David would tell the guys to fuck off so why was David bothered by this. "Have I ever told you about my life before I was turned?" Asked David. You shook your head before David continued. "It was back in the late 1800s. I was an outlaw on the run. The only person who still believed I was a good man was my sister. You remind me a lot of her. I guess that's why I'm protective of you and never yell at you like I do the rest of the boys. During Christmas, she would always sew us matching Christmas shirts and I guess seeing as Paul got everyone Christmas shirts, as ridiculous as it seems it reminds me of her. I miss her so much. She ended up getting shot because she was trying to protect me." Said David. You saw a tear fall onto his cheek. You took the pad of your thumb and wiped it away.

"I know this doesn't change much, but I've always seen Dwayne and you as my older brothers because of the way the two of you are overprotective of me and I thank you for that. How about this, ill make you a deal. If I wear the stupid shirt, will you also wear it with me?" You asked as you held onto David's gloved hand. "Sure." Said David smiling at you before placing a gentle kiss on your forehead.

David went to stand up and held his hand out for you to grab ahold of. You stood up and let go of David's hand. David began walking towards your bedroom door but before he could turn the know, you grabbed his wrist causing him to turn back around. You wrapped your arms around him and hugged him. He mimicked your actions by wrapping his arms around you. "Thank you." Whispered David in your ear causing you to smile. "You're welcome." You said quietly.
