When we all woke we gave Mr. Lion, the zebra and the antipope some more water. Percy told us about a dream, how we need to go to some bay to talk to some water lady. I swear I tried to pay attention. I really did. But I was more focused on my Hogwarts friends, and believe it or not, Harry.
Maybe I should send Harry a letter? He is my cousin and only living relative... maybe we can try and not hate each other? I don't know.
The truck came to a stop, Percy stopped talking. I looked over to Mr. Lion.
"I'm going to get you and the other animals out. I'll need to put a blessing over you three so you can find your way home without harm. May I?" Mr. Lion nodded his white, tangled mane. "When the time is right I'll break open the cage with my wand. Don't be frightened. I won't hurt you." Anna hollered for us to hide. That was easy for her, all she had to do was put in her cap. I turned into my wolf and curled up in the shadows. Suddenly the doors opened and Percy jumped up.
"NOW!" He slashed his sword, breaking the chains on the zebra and the antelope's cage I switched back to human form and quickly laid a blessing on them as Percy opened Mr. Lion's cage. I said a blessing and they all took off, jumping out of the truck, crashing into the two men. We quickly grabbed our things and ran out after them. We heard the men yelling at us, but we continued to run. Anna suddenly appeared beside me, I shot her a smile and continued to run. After a while we stopped and tried to make our next move.
"We need to find the hotel of death, that's where we can go to see Hades." I spoke. Anna rolled my eyes at the term "hotel of death". We all nodded and agreed. We got up and walked farther along in order to cover more ground. We don't have that much time. Only six more. We walked until we came across the heart of the city. Casinos and hotels lit up the area with loud music and flushing lights. It was a sight to see. We continued walking until a man hollered out to us.
"Hey! You kids! Yeah you! You look tired, why don't you come inside for a little while? Yeah?"
"We have no money in order to pay." Anna said bluntly.
"That doesn't matter. Come on in and kick up your feet. Rest a minute. I'll even gouge you one of the luxury rooms on the 400th room."
"Yeah! Sure! Sound good doesn't guys!" Percy said. Anna looked kinda suspicious. "It's only for one night, what could happen in one night?"
Only for the night. I kept telling myself. But then why do I feel it's going to be more than 'just one night'.
