When Madelyn gets home around lunch she hears voices coming from her room. She walks to her door and sees Topper sitting on her bed with Rafe holding her diary standing next to him.

They immediately turn their heads to her when they hear her foot steps going into her room. "what are you doing?!" she said with a furious tone. "i- i can explain" Rafe says trying to apologise "no save it"

She takes her diary and looks at Topper in disgust then back at Rafe "i would expect this from him not you Rafe" she storms out of the room with tears falling down her face, Yes Rafe is a dick but when they were kids he was so nice to her, like a brother.

She didn't know what to do so she grabbed her bag and packed it full of clothes from the laundry room when Topper comes in "we were just having some fun, chill out" he says leaning against the door frame.

"chill out? you were reading my diary Topper, my personal diary" she says frustrated trying to wipe away the tears streaming down her face "just leave me alone" storming out the room she goes to the front door and leaves.

She walks to the chateau still with tears streaming down. She walks in and sees John b, Pope and Kie on the couch, she runs to the spare room trying to avoid them asking questions only to find Jj laying on the bed.

He looks over and sees Madelyn crying closing the door "hey what's wrong princess?" he stands up in front of her worried. "its Topper, he and Rafe were reading my diary and-" before she could finish Jj wrapped his arms around her holding her tight. She hugs back resting her head on his chest trying to stop crying.

"dont worry they are just dicks... hey you will be ok" he says holding her chin up with his fingers. "thank you Jj" she replies softly giving him a soft smile.

The five go down to the boneyard setting up for the party later in the night. All laughing and having fun, Madelyn and Kie sit on a log watching Jj spray John b with beer laughing.

Jj looks over to Madelyn and tilts his head for her to come over. She walks over with a smile and Jj wraps his arm around her waist spraying some beer in her mouth.

He missed her mouth completely but she still laughed having fun with her friends. Jj picks her up and carry's her over to the sand sitting down with her on his lap smiling.

John b pours some drinks for the gang and they all start drinking when a bunch of people start showing up around the beach. It soon starts getting dark and everyone is having fun drinking.

Madelyn, Jj and Pope basically spent all night together talking laughing and pope watched as they both got a little drunk. The three turn and see Sarah Cameron at the party and Pope walks over to Kie seeing if she's ok. Her and Kie used to be best friends in the ninth grade but worst enemy's in the tenth grade, but no one knows what happened between them.

Madelyn trys not to acknowledge that her brother is here and probably his friends too and trys to have a good time with her friends. Awhile after Pope left, Madelyn and Jj were alone a little drunk dancing around laughing. Jj took her hand and takes her to behind an old shack on the beach.

"what are we doing here?" she said laughing "well i wanted to make a toast" he said holding up his drink "here's to one of the most beautiful girls on the island" she smiles and starts to get butterflies in her stomach.

They take a sip then Jj starts to move closer to her, she can feel himclose to her lips just as they were getting closer Topper sees them and walks over with rage with Sarah following. "hey what's going on here?" he yells stopping Jj from going any further.

"oh nothing you need to worry about" Jj said facing him with a smirk "well thats my little sister so i think i should worry if she's hooking up with you" he said with an angry tone. She has never seen him this protective when she's around boys, yes he does get protective but not like this.

"we aren't hooking up Topper!, why do you always think that i am?" Madelyn faces him with rage. "hes a pouge Maddie you don't want to be with him" She looks over to Jj and sees his eyes slowly getting full of rage. She takes his hand and his face softens.

"pouge or not even if i was hooking up with him i can hang out or hook up with whoever i want, i dont need your permission" Topper starts to loose his temper and pushes Jj causing him to push back. John b notices and pulls Jj away before it was to late, he then turns to Topper and pushes him to the floor.

Topper gets up and punches his face causing him to fall down "Topper!" Madelyn said with worry she looked over to Jj with Pope trying to restrain him and goes to run over to John b. Topper pushes Madelyn out of the way causing her to nearly fall onto Sarah and kicks John b into the water before he can try getting back up.

"Chill!" Kie yells to Topper but he didn't care. "hey, john b, dont make me drown you like your old man, ok?" John b looks up at him with a nervous look and hopes he stops but he kicks him even more into the water. Topper stands his back to John and looks at everyone with his hands up, Before Madelyn can get to Topper in rage John b gets up and tackles him into the water.

Madelyn trys to go over but Jj grabs her stopping her from going and getting hurt. Topper gets onto John b and starts trying to drown him holding his neck down under the water and pulling his head up repeatedly until Jj walks up behind him and holds the gun to his head.

Everyone gasps at his actions and starts to step further back. " yeah you know what this is your move" Madelyn has tears in her eyes and walks over to him grabbing his arm by his side and he immediately knows who it is. "please Jj hes my brother" she says softly to him, he softens up and Topper slowly backs away grabbing Madelyn and pulling her back with him.

Kie runs over to John and helps him up. Jj walks over to the keger and holds up the gun saying with rage "everyone listen up! get the hell off our side of the island!" he fires the gun twice and everyone runs away screaming. Madelyn trys to fight off Toppers grip but he keep pulling her away "come on Maddie he's dangerous" she glares back at him then back at Jj, She notices him looking at her and runs to him wrapping her arms around hugging him. Kie and Pope move over to Jj wanting to yell at him but waits till Madelyn leaves.

He hugs her back tightly but then Topper pulls her off with the help of Rafe and Kelce, while she struggles to get out of their grip. "let me go!" she yells with tears in her eyes "Maddie calm down" Rafe said to her in a calming voice and the four slowly go to Rafe's car. She watches Jj as she goes and sees Kie and Pope yelling at i'm but then loses them when they get into the car.

I wish i was there for him she thought as they drove off.
