a couple days went by and Madelyn was back with the group including John b and they were thinking of a plan to get John b out of obx, "good news for residents int her outer banks area" the radio said.

the group was in a car parked under an old driveway hiding from the cops, Madelyn was laying on Jj next to John b in the back seat with Kie and Pope in the front seat. police sirens went by and the group ducked until they passed a couple seconds later.

"and still no arrest in the shooting death of sheriff Peterkin, the state police have issued a statement regarding a local person of interest a juvenile from-" before the man on the radio can finish Kie turns off the radio and sits back in her seat.

"Ward or us? so the accuser is a big shot developer kind of lord of the island with the governor on speed dial and the accused is John b who is a 16-year-old homeless boy" Jj said and Madelyn elbowed him in the waist lightly making him shut up.

"thanks" John b softly said and rubbed his forehead with his fingers, "Sarah will bail me out" John b added and Jj lays back in his chair with Madelyn still in his lap laying on his chest.

"she did witness the whole thing" Kie said and Madelyn sat up smiling, "exactly witnesses guys i can testify i did get shot by the person who shot Peterkin" police sirens went by again and Jj pulled Madelyn back down to lay down.

"yeah but will Sarah snitch on her brother?" Jj took a sat up with his smoke and Madelyn took it from him having a puff before handing it back, "we've gotta get you off the island" Madelyn nods in agreement and looks down at her hands.

"the ferry, it's the only way" Pope said and everyone looked at him in agreement, "exit stage left while you still can, before the whole island is on lockdown" Jj said and police sirens came back and Jj and Madelyn looked back slowly getting down.

"guys, just get down" Kie said annoyed and Jj layed back with Madelyn, "Sarah isn't a pogue John b you can't stay here" Pope said and John b sighed.

the group went to the ferry dock and Pope went out to investigate and ran back in a hurry, "ok bad news the ferry is closed and there is a reward for anyone that finds him? Pope said getting in the front seat of the car.

Jj took the paper and showed John b who was laying down still hiding as best as he can, "so the whole island is looking for him?" Madelyn said worried towards John b.

"that's a lot of money" Kie said scare and Jj smirked, "congratulations, John b your famous" John b rolled his eyes and Madelyn nudged him rolling her eyes.

"Kk does your dad still have that boat the phantom the one he used to race?" Pope said excitedly, "maybe" Jj said looking out the window, "you could get right up the coast, no problem" Pope said with a positive attitude.

"it won't be easy Pope" Jj yelled and Pope started the car, "i don't know where the keys are" Pope started to drive.

"well find them" he said and Jj started thinking, "why is no one moving forward" Pope said freaking out and Kie tried to calm him down until someone spotted John b and Pope bolted driving away as fast as he can accidentally hitting another car.

the group stopped the car and a john b got out running while the rest kept driving away as fast as they can.

Kie, Pope, Jj and Madelyn all were on their way to go get find a place to hide and we're having a good time listening to music and laughing except for Kie. Madelyn forgot the last time she saw everyone this happy and well herself.

"you totally destroyed that car man" Jj laughed out and Madelyn giggled as Kie turned around starting that them. Pope turned around and took a puff of the blunt he had in his hand that wasn't driving.

"pull over!" Kie yelled and Pope took a sharp turn around a corner to then pull over and stop the car, "Jj it's not funny he shouldn't be driving" Kie said getting out of the car and Pope doing the same to swap spots.

"mama's mad" Jj said and Madelyn elbowed him in the side, "don't worry princess you will always be my mama" Madelyn rolled her eyes and tried to hide the blush starting to show on her face.

she took the blunt off Pope making him frown and took a puff still keeping hold of it, "where are we going exactly?" Madelyn asked and Kie started driving away, "somewhere they won't think of" Kie said and starting driving with the car in silence.

the group arrived at the Cameron's estate and got out the car, "your kidding right?" Madelyn asked the girl with a chuckle, "she's the only one who can clear John b" Kie said jumping up onto the wall.

"last place they'll look because of how stupid it is" Jj said looking at Madelyn then the two others jumping the fence together as they stay behind, the two went into the van and sat there waiting.

"hey princess" Jj said laying his head on the girls lap softy moving his fingers over her legs, "yeah?" she said playing with his hair with a smile, "promise me this forever" (tehe if you know you know) Madelyn looked at him softly and bent down giving him a kiss on the head, "i promise" she said and the boy started blushing.
