the next day the boys planned something for Kie and Sarah so after they did that Pope, John b and Jj went to Madelyns house because she had it to herself and they all wanted to relax by the pool.

"omg Jj!" he jumped into the pool making a big splash and got Madelyn wet, "her wearing a bikini anyway" he said jokingly and she pulled down her sunglasses off her face to look at him, "duh to get my tan"

the four laugh and Pope was in the pool with him while Madelyn and John b lays back, "do you think it will work?" Madelyn asks the boys unsure of their idea, "positive" the door bell rings and John b gets up, "i'll get it, it's probably the food we ordered"

he opens the door and Benjamin walks into the house, "ugh hey dude" He to,d John b unsure why he was at his girlfriends house, "where is Madelyn?" John b raised his hand pointing outside and he walked out with him following and sitting back down.

"ohhh heyyy Benny wanna join we are just having some drinks" Madelyn said taking a sip of beer, "no no i thought we were going or hang out today?" he asked stiffening as he looked at Jj checking his girlfriend out, "oh yeah i can get dressed and we can go if you like?"

"no no we can stay he said as Madelyn got up getting a drink and he sat in her chair getting her to sit on his lap and she handed him a drink, "i'm just glad i haven't ran into Topper yet" Madelyn said placing her sunglasses back over her eyes.

she felt as Benjamin was stiff and turned and faced him, "hey you ok?" he nodded with a smile and she turned back around ok,ing at Pope and Jj act like little kids in the pool, "why is that?" Pope said sitting on a pool float.

"i don't know it's just why would he push John b out oh a tree it doesn't seem like him" she looked down at her hands and she was playing with Ben's hands because she always liked to when she was sad, "i don't know maybe he decided that John b with his girlfriend wasn't that cool?" Jj joked and John b rolled his eyes.

"ex girlfriend" he corrected and Madelyn laughed at him, "ugh i miss just hanging with you guys" Madelyn whined leaning back on her boyfriend and he gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"hey remember when Topper asked you to go on a date with Liam Garcia?" Jj smirked and Madelyn flipped him off. "who's Liam?" Ben asked and they all laughed.

"he's like a like a really big asshole and my brother wanted to be friends with him so he asked me to go on a date with him... but it sucked" she laughed and held his hands around her waist looking at the sky.

"hey Maddie what school are you going to after summer? Kook school?" Pope asked she never thought of that she always thought that her mother would send her back to the boarding school, "i am not sure probs the Kook academy shit" she laughed and took a sip of Ben's beer knowing that he wouldn't care.

"hey what was so important you had to leave so early you took my shirt" Benjamin whispered to Madelyn making her giggle, "ugh... pogue stuff and it looks cute and big on me" she mailed and he kissed her neck making Jj jealous and full of rage.

Pope noticed and splashed him with water, "come on dude you should have told her how you felt before the knight in shining armour came" he whispered to Jj and he let out a sigh.

after going and getting the girls the group went to the Craine house and Benjamin surprisingly tagged along, it was a little awkward at first because in the back Madelyn sat in between Jj and Ben but she ignored it and got the checklist out for what they needed.

"ok rope?" she said as she looked at Pope rambling through his backpack, "got it" he said and she crossed it off with a pink highlighter she always keeps handy just in case because being with the pogues is always an adventure you don't know when you need well just about anything.
