as the following days go by Rafe doesn't tell anyone about what he had heard while Isabella has started getting used to the pouge life style. surfing day and night, parties, drinks and even some guys.

the two girls walk into the chateau to find the pogues standing in the research room John b's dad had. "that bread had mole on it three days ago" Pope says making Madelyn and Isabella to stop and look at Jj with disgust.

"i'll just pull of the bad parts plus, mold is good for you it's just a natural organism" Jj responds still making the sandwich preparing to take a big bite, Madelyn moves beside and takes it out of his hands giving him the sandwich she packed for lunch.

"i'm not letting you eat that" Madelyn tells the boy while throwing it in the bin. "guys" kie calls them over and they all look at the letter John b found while Isabella waits by the door looking around. "hey what's that" Madelyn asks the group as John b starts to open it.

Jj goes beside the girl wrapping his arm around her shoulders and whispers in her ear 'it's a letter Big John wrote for him with think' Madelyn looks over to John focused on the letter and looks back at Isabella at the door and nods for her to go over.

John b grabs out a map and the gang all look at all the places on it "x marks the spot" Pope says pointing down to the big x in the middle of the map. "wait there is something else in their" John b says grabbing out a small recorder moving it around to see if anything is on it.

"what's that" Jj says curiously setting his eyes on it, "it's a tape recorder, dumbass" Kie responds giving Madelyn and Isabella a little giggle. John b turns on the recorder and the gang listens to what was recorded onto it. '

dear bird, i hate to say i told you so but i told you so and you doubted your old man i suspect at this moment, your filled with guilt and self-loathing over our last fight, but don't kill yourself just yet, kid. everyone looks over to John b standing up and walking over to the wall crying, Madelyn walks over giving him a hug as he crys onto her shoulder doing the same. "holy shit, he did it" Jj exclaims still looking at the map. "Big John found the merchant!" Jj exclaims while Kie is trying to shut him up "sorry" Jj says looking over at John and Madelyn.

the group are sitting at the dock while Madelyn and Isabella go back to Madelyns house to find Topper,Rafe and Kelce in the kitchen getting food. "don't you guys have your own houses?" Madelyn sarcastically says rolling her eyes at the boys and getting some juice for them.

"yes but isn't reading your food better" Kelce says with a smirk at the girls. "Why don't you go first with some random girl Kelce and leave us alone" Madelyn exclaims directing Isabella and her to the pool area sitting down on the couches.

"so how are you liking outer banks?" Madelyns asks her friends looking at her phone "Izzy?" she says trying to get her attention "hm sorry what?" She says startled by her.

"are you ok your looking at you phone like something bad happened" Madelyn reply's sitting up looking at her friend "ugh well.. i have to go back earlier than i though.. like in 4 days" Madelyns face drops and the girls stay silent for a couple minutes.

"w-why i though we still had a week" Madelyn looks at her lays back with her hands on the face, "my parents want me to go back... but let's not concentrate on that ok?" Madelyn looks up and smiles at the girl "ofc come on let's get some sleep" the girls go up to there bedrooms and fall asleep.

Madelyn gets up the next morning and finds Rafe shirtless making breakfast in the kitchen. Madelyn immediately stops in woking and rubs her eyes to make sure she is awake, "ugh. hey?" Madelyn asks the boy "hey sorry i stayed the night and i woke up so i made bacon and eggs!" Rafe gives her a plate with the bacon and eggs shaped as a smiley face and gives her a little smirk.

"so what are you doing today?" Rafe asks handing her a glass of orange juice and sitting down next to her. "i have to go to work but after that i'm teaching Isabella how to surf" Madelyn smiles taking a sip of her orange juice and then looks at him.

as they look at each other they both start to get lost in each other's eyes like they were the only two people in the world, as Rafe starts to slowly move closer there is a bang at the door and Madelyn quickly backs away.

"ugh i'm going to get that..." Madelyn stands up and walks off leaving Rafe in the kitchen. "hey ready for work?" Pope exclaims "yeah come in just have to get dressed" Madelyn rushes to her room before he can even reply to her.

he waits outside of her room and walks into the kitchen to see Rafe eating the bacon off her plate. "well we'll look who is here, pogue" Rafe comments standing up walking over to him. Madelyn over hears the boys and rushes out of her room, "Rafe, no i'm going to work. can you tell Isabella i'm at work and will be back soon when she wakes up?" Madelyn looks at Rafe with a serious look tying up her hair into a high ponytail.

"yeah fine" Rafe reply's backing away from them and into the kitchen once again, Pope and Madelyn go outside and get into the car driving to work.

they get to work and Pope grabs boxes out while Madelyn goes inside and starts to  bag everything ready to be taken to figure 8. just as Pope and Madelyn are finishing up a motorbike pulls up startling everyone, a tall figure wearing a blue button shirt and bore shorts walk towards them and takes off their helmet.

"Rafe?" Madelyn exclaims in surprise "what are you doing here?" Pope asks walking up behind Madelyn to make sure she is safe. "we need to talk" Rafe looks away as he said those words. Madelyn starts to feel worried as she hears those words like something bad is going to happen.

"w-why?" she asks him in a soft tone. " because i saw something you might not like Maddie now please just let's talk alone" Rafe starts getting an angry tone in his voice so Madelyn walks over to him and looks back waving her hand down waking sure Pope stays there.

"so what did you see that i really need to know huh?" Madelyn puts her hands over her hips. "well the other day i heard you tell Isabella that you liked Jj Maybank" the words that come out of his mouth make her drop her arms from her hips and is in a state of shock.

"w-what are you talking about?" she says with a crackling voice scared that the truth has gone out, "don't worry i haven't told anyone and that's not the point..." he takes a deep breath before saying the words Madelyn will most hate.

"i walked in on Isabella and Jj... making out" Madelyn looks at the boy standing i front of her, tears start to go down her face, "no no your lying... it can't be true" she says running to Pope in tears.
