Madelyn woke up to a knock on the front door she sat up in bed half asleep looking at the clock that said 7am whining in annoyance, "Topper!" she yelled but shortly remembered he was already at someone's house. she got out of bed and went to the bathroom looking at herself while she quickly brushed her long brown hair.

she was wearing a navy blue satin pajama set that had shorts and a short sleeve button up shirt, she ran out of her room down stairs and towards the door, "yeah yeah I'm coming calm down" she yelled.

when she opened the door they turned around and her heart dropped, they were holding some flowers and had a bag around his shoulders with a suitcase next to him.

he had black hair and a goofy smile that made Madelyn smile he dropped his bag off his shoulder and looked at her, "hey Mads did you miss me?" he said and she jumped up wrapping her arms around him hugging him tightly.

"Benny!" she exclaimed and he smiled, "what are you doing here?" she said as they walked inside leaving the bags in the lounge room and sitting out next to the pool, "well I wanted to see you, I hate the fact we broke up and we were left on bad terms... I miss you Mads" he smiled placing his hand over hers and she smiled softly.

she didn't really know what was going on with her and Jj after what happened in the cell she needed some time before seeing him once again, "I missed you too Benny" he leaned in and placed a hand on her cheek kissing her softly.

Madelyn missed this feeling, Benjamin was one person she hadn't told anyone on obx about, he was her boyfriend. sadly they had to break up because she thought long distance wouldn't work and she didn't want to get hurt or hurt him, they were madly in love and he was the only one besides Isabella that tried keeping her safe from the people that hurt her so badly.

he would do anything for her she slowly kissed back but she pulled away before it got to heated, "Ben we can't you live on mainland" she sighed looking down at the ground, "not anymore" he said with a smile and she looked confused at the boy.

"my parents are moving here and we are living actually not that far from here" her face lit up and she gave him a big hug and he did the same. she knew that Rafe and her were never going to be as thing and she liked she never really felt anything for him but with Jj it was complicated she didn't know how she felt all she knew was that she didn't want to talk to him for awhile.

"hey I know we can't just go back to how things were but...  would you be open to go on a date with me start fresh?" he held her hand and she nodded kissing his cheek, "lets go then" he said standing up and helped her off the ground.

the two spent the whole day going everywhere and she introduced him to everyone except for the pogues cause she was scared what they would think, the afternoon they got ready for midsummers and Benjamin was in a tux.

damn he's so hot in a tuxedo  Madelyn thought and giggled when he couldn't figure out how to do the tie. she walked over and she fixed it for him and he kissed her head, "hey not the hair i just did it so nicely" he smirked and chuckled, "sorry I forgot" he held his hands up and she laughed sitting back down finishing her makeup.

they arrive in a limo and Benjamin gets out and holds her hand helping her out, she is wearing a beautiful pastel pink flowing dress with no sleeves and her hair was out with two front strands braided and tied together at the back.

"you look beautiful" Benjamin said and she giggled, "thank god your not a pogue you guys have fun" Topper said to Benjamin and they laughed walking inside, Madelyn saw Pope and Kie at the barbeque and decided it was time for them to meet Ben.

she walked over to them with Ben and his hand was intertwined with hers and gave Kie and soft smile, "look who showed up" Kie exclaimed smiling, "how are you after going to the station we didn't talk?"
