hours later Madelyn slowly woke up, she looked around the hospital room with a confused look, "ugh hello? what am i doing here?" she yells out but no one answers. she slowly tries to get up and walks over to the window looking at herself in the reflection, she notices the stiches in her forehead and softly touches it.

suddenly, the door opens and the nurse comes in, "great your awake! how are you feeling?" she said calmly with a smile towards the girl, "I- I'm ok... what happened?" Madelyn said sitting back down on the bed while the nurse places her food on the desk next to her.

"it seems you suffered a golf club to the head you had to get some stiches but with some rest-" the nurse gets interrupted by Madelyn's voice as she was shaking scared while starting to remember what happened, "is my brother here can I see him" she look's up at the nurse.

she sits down next to her and rubs her back comforting her, "sure honey ill bring him right in" Madelyn smiled and tried to calm her self as the nurse got Topper. Topper walks through the door and walks over giving Madelyn a big hug, "I am so sorry Maddy I should have tried to stop him-" Madelyn hugs him tight and cries into his shoulder as the rubbed her back resting his head on top of hers.

the door creaks and they both turn their heads to see Pope, Kie, John b and Jj standing their, Madelyn looks at her brother and nods his head letting her go and walking out the door, "Maddie! omg how are you feeling?" Kie says running up to her hugging her so tight she can barely breath.

"Kie Kie I'm good but I cant breath" Madelyn said making them both laugh, she lets go and Madelyn walks over to Pope in sympathy hoping he is ok after what happened, "are you ok" she said holding his face in her hands, he nods and pulls her in for a hug.

Jj stands at the door and looks to the ground frustrated, Madelyn notices and walks over to him holding his cheek with her hand, "hey what's wrong?" she tilted his head up but he didn't make eye contact with her. she looks back at the group and they all leave the room closing the door behind them while Jj and Madelyn stay behind, "J look at me what's wrong" he looks over towards her and his eyes start to fill up in tears, she bring him in for a hug and he holds onto her like he didn't want her to ever go away.

"I should have been their to protect you I-" He starts to cry and Madelyn holds him tighter, "hey hey its not your fault Rafe was being dumb and stupid" she said looking at him wiping his tears away, he brushes his thumb over the stiches and Madelyn look's down to the ground worried about what he will say next. he was always one to protect her Jj, even when they were little kids he stood up to a bully for her she thought it was the cutest thing and just as she was about to speak he placed his finger over her mouth.

"I wont let anyone hurt you again" Madelyn can't help but look into his eyes and started to lean in for a kiss, the two were so close to each other as she rested her head onto his getting ready for the kiss. the door slightly opened and they heard a creek, they turned around and saw the pogues watching them and they all laughed.

the pogues were all laying down at the back of the chateau in hammocks they put in just recently everyone was comfortable and Madelyn was laying down on Jj's chest and he was stroking her hair, "you really think its out there? like no bullshit?" Pope asks swinging in the hammock he is in.

"my father though it was" John b answers softly looking out to the water, "but do you?" Madelyn spoke up asking the boy, he looks over to her with a soft smile "after hearing his voice on that tape i think i do" he said confidently as her phone starts to ring.
