Death. It was something that gave meaning to our lives. Without Death, the joy of living wouldn't be a joy. Without death, we would be lost. Lost in a life of endless sorrows and pain.
It was also something that people were most afraid of. Though I didn't fear death. I was sure that I didn't want to die today. I had to live. Whether my life would be short or long, I had to live it. I couldn't give up now.

So, here I was, sat on a hospital bed, reading a book to pass my time. And no, I didn't die. After the blood failed to heal me, the Salvatore brothers rushed me to the hospital, in the hope, that 'a more human approach' would save me since the vampire one failed to. It had been three days since I was admitted. My wound was starting to fade a little but it was still sore.

A lot had happened in the past three days. Tyler found out that it was Damon and the Scooby do gang who killed Mason, which led to Caroline getting Kidnapped by Jules and the other werewolves, which further led to Stefan and Damon rescuing Caroline, with help from the Jonas witches.

John Gilbert, Elena's biological father had revealed to her aunt, Jenna that he was Elena's real father.

John also gave Damon a dagger and a vial that contained ash, claiming that it could kill an original vampire and now, all Damon wanted to do was kill Elijah. I, on the other hand, didn't trust John. Judging by his past actions, he didn't seem like a guy that one could trust instantly. He had a motive behind everything he did.

Elena and Stefan had gone to the Gilbert Lakehouse to enjoy a romantic getaway. But their life, being the ever-changing rollercoaster it is, couldn't handle a moment of happiness and they ended up being attacked by Tyler and Brady about the moonstone.

The werewolves had also attacked Damon earlier, again for the moonstone and Elijah had rescued him once again.

Also, Bonnie, Caroline, and Jeremy had forced Luka to tell them about Elijah's plans. According to him, Elijah planned to break the curse so that he could kill Klaus in his weakened state right after he completes the ritual.

Elena had also made a deal with Elijah. According to it, Elijah would keep her family and friends safe as long as Elena was alive and well. Last night, Tyler had left town with Jules, much to Caroline's dismay.

And that brings us to today. How did I know all this? Well, from the group's frequent visits, especially Caroline's. It was my main time pass after all.

Today, I was going to get discharged from the hospital. I was so happy about it that I practically squealed in happiness when Damon told me about it. He then laughed at me and told me that I looked like an adorable baby when I squealed.
