"Hey. Thanks for doing this," Elena told Liv gratefully. Damon, Elena, Liv and I were standing in the Mystic Falls cemetery. A lot had happened in the last few days. Alaric had turned into a human somehow after Jo resuscitated him by giving CPR. We found out that Jo, Liv and Luke were in fact, siblings of Kai Parker, with whom Damon and Bonnie had been stuck in the Prison world. Alaric, Stefan and Damon had gone to their childhood home in Portland, only to encounter their father, Joshua Parker there, who ended up trying to kill his daughter and Damon. Luckily, we saved them just in time.
"Don't worry about it. I needed an excuse to get out of that frat house. Way too much boy. Gross. You got everything?" Liz replied nonchalantly, looking towards the three of us. Damon had somehow managed to get the ascendant from Jo. Although, it's pretty weird that she would just give it to him instantly. Why would she risk the release of her psychotic brother? Today was the day we were going to bring Bonnie back from the prison world.
"Yep. Blood from a Bennett-- Lucy to be exact-- and an Ascendant from whatever the hell your last name is." Damon mused, giving her the ascendant and the vial of blood in his hand.
"Parker." Liv rolled her eyes, examining the Ascendant in her hands. "So this is the famous Ascendant. I'm surprised that Jo gave it up."
"Why?" Elena asked her as I noticed the look on Damon's face. He seems hella suspicious today.
"It's the only thing keeping Kai locked in the Prison World. If he gets out, he's coming after Jo." The Parker witch explained.
"Well. Good old Jo, helping us out." Damon spoke awkwardly, causing all eyes to turn on him. "Can we do this, please?" He shifted uncomfortably.
"Whatever. So, I'm gonna need the moon to activate the Ascendant. It'll be viable for about eight hours, so once I send you over, the clock's ticking." Liv announced while we nodded at her.
I gazed up to the moon above us. It was still early in the evening, so it was faintly visible. "And how do we get back?" I asked her.
"Drink these." Liv held up three vials of blood in her hands. "It's my blood. It'll link you to me so I can find you and bring you back. Give this one to Bonnie, too." She explained, looking at all of us. "One of you needs to stay here. I can only teleport two people to the Prison world,"
We exchanged a look between us and I sighed, smiling. "I'll stay,"
"No, Rose. I'll-" Elena objected but I cut her off with a wave of my hand.
"It's okay. I'll stay...I'll meet Bon Bon when she comes back, okay?" I assured her and she nodded. Damon and Elena were just beginning to start over and this was a chance for them to spend some time together. I wasn't going to ruin it for them.
