"Rose? Oh my God, Rose. Wake up!" A familiar voice jolted me awake from the darkness. I rubbed my head which had been throbbing in pain. I opened my eyes only to be met with a terrifying sight. I was in a quarry and it had gotten dark outside. Somebody must have hit me over the head!
I sat up, taking in the scene before me. Three big circles of fire were drawn before me in which stood Elena, Jules and....Jenna? What was Jenna doing here?
"Elena?" I muttered out, trying to stand up.
"Rose? Thank God you're okay. I thought Klaus killed you." She signed in relief.
"Why is Jenna here, Elena?" I asked her, taking a step forward.
"She's in transition. Klaus wants to sacrifice her in the ritual." She said sadly while Jenna frantically looked around her. Why Jenna? She didn't do anything wrong. She was supposed to live her life but now she would die for Klaus' gain.
"I bet you're hungry." A woman said, approaching the two. Elena saw a sharp rock near her and rushed to grab it but with a flick of her wrist, the woman sent Elena flying backwards and she landed on the ground with a thud.
"Greta, please, just let her go." Elena pleaded but Greta ignored her. She sliced her wrist open with a sharp rock and offered it to Jenna. Jenna looked hungrily at her bleeding wrist.
"Drink it. Klaus chose you." Greta told Jenna.
"No, Jenna. Don't." I shouted and Jenna struggled with herself until she finally gave in, sinking her fangs into Greta's wrist.
"No! No!" Elena cried as tears glistened in my eyes.
Jenna retracted her fangs from Greta's wrist and with a flick of her wrist, the flames around Elena and Jenna grew bigger.
"It's gonna be okay," Elena assured Jenna and the latter shook her head quietly. Elena looked at me and I looked at her, tears pooling from both of our eyes.
"You're going to be okay." I mouthed to Elena and she smiled sadly.
She turned around to face Jenna, "How are you feeling?" She asked her.
"I feel like myself...Only not. Everything is brighter. The fire's hotter. Part of me is terrified, but there's another part of me that doesn't want to feel anything." Jenna replied while she kneeled. "I am going to die, aren't I?" She asked looking between us sadly.
"No, Jenna. We won't let that happen." I assured her but all of us knew that it was nothing more than false hope.
We all heard the sound of Jules groaning in pain and Jenna snapped her head in Jules' direction. "Who's that?" She asked, noticing her presence.
"That must be the werewolf," Elena replied while Jules screamed in pain.
"What is happening to me?" Jules asked Greta, groaning in her place.
