The woods in the daylight were a sight to behold. It was still early in the morning yet the sun shone brightly, dappling through the trees. The birds chirped, singing their melodic song. The sound of feet shuffling through detritus filled the air as the Salvatores and The Petrova Girl waddled to their destination, coming to stop below a canopy of trees.
Rose stood in front of the Salvatores who had no idea why she had woken them up this early in the morning and demanded to accompany her to the woods. A few leaves fell on her, kissing her skin as she smiled, taking in the earthy smell of her surroundings.
She turned towards the brothers, extending both her hands for them to take. They walked closer, confusion lacing their mind. "We're not going to have a three-way dance party in here, are we?" Damon mused as they placed their hands in hers.
Rose rolled her eyes at him, clearing her throat dramatically as the boys exchanged an amused glance. "Aww...are you proposing to us?" Stefan teased her with a fake coo.
Both of them had been teasing her since they left for the woods, knowing that Rose wasn't an early riser. But now, they had finally managed to get on her nerves.
She sighed heavily, smiling just a little bit before her foot went up, kicking him between his legs. The blow wasn't too hard but Stefan still fell, groaning in pain as Damon cracked up, laughing like a drain. "Straight in the family jewels!" He exclaimed while Rose narrowed her eyes at him, shutting him up.
"You want one too?" She asked him, raising an eyebrow.
He shook his head, placing a finger on his lips but laughing internally as Stefan stood up. "God, Rose! When did you become a hobnocker?" He pouted like a baby which was fair considering that she had just kicked him in his babymaker.
Rose kissed him on the cheek. "Sorry, Stefie," She smiled innocently before glaring at them again. "Now keep your mouths shut,"
They both obliged as Rose sighed, once again clearing her throat. She took their hands in hers, squeezing them gently. She laughed a little, nervous about what she was planning to do, making the two boys smile at her nervousness. They intertwined their fingers with her, encouraging her to go on and she gleamed at the gesture.
"Okay..." Rose breathed in and out, preparing herself. "Even though I met you two just two years ago, you've been my family for as long as I can remember. You've supported me, loved me and spoiled me in every way possible...I can't even imagine my life without you two in it and, I know I can never repay any of what you've given me...and I know you don't want me to, but I still wanna try and give you something...You two have always shown me how much you love me. Now, it's time for me to do the same,"
