Sophie's POV*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"You're close too it, but you aren't dead, Sophie Crest. Not yet." My jaw drops. I think it may have hit the floor.
"E-Excuse me?" I ask, wide eyed. Hel laughs. "No. Seriously. If I'm not dead, then how am I talking to you? Why am I here? why aren't I with my friends?"
"Whoa." She says, putting up her hands and cutting me off. "Can I explain before questions are asked?"
"I- Yes." I say quickly. I need to sit down, but there aren't any chairs.
"Here." she says. as if she read my mind, two chairs and a table appear. Knowing her parentage, she probably could read thoughts. I sit down, giving her a grateful smile. "and yes, I can read thoughts."
        "Oh.... uh. Good?"
"No. It's annoying." She says in a flat voice.
        "Oh... Sorry?"
"But it can be cool at times." She says. I sigh. Yep. This is Loki's daughter.
"Could you, you know, explain now?" She looks up at me.
"Oh. duh. Of course." She leans back in her chair. "You were poisoned." She starts. I open my mouth to ask a question, but she cuts me off with a wave of her hand. "Hold all questions until the end. Ok, so you were actually poisoned. but Fuller.." she trails off. "He thinks things through. You were poisoned with something, that if put in the exact amount needed, would only put you in a death-like state. "
"A death-like state?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
"Yep. It dropped your heat rate so slow, and so faint that not even a heart monitor can pick it up. You are barely breathing, but just enough to keep your body alive. It's not even enough to make your chest move. You look dead. You practically are."
        "But I'm not?"
"Exactly." She says with a smirk.
"Then how am I here, talking to you?" I ask, and she frowns slightly.
"Thats harder to explain." She says. "See, while your body is removing the toxin, your brain is still slightly active. right now, your consciousness is in-between life and death, creating, well this." She says, gesturing around her. "It's what I like to call the in-between. Creative right? Anyway, It's a place where I'll be able to talk to souls like you."
"How long will I be here?" I ask.
"About three days. Normally, it would be about a week with how much of the poison they put in, but your DNA being as different as it is speeds up the process." She says. "As your body gets closer to waking up, you'll be able to hear things, like if people are talking in the same room your body is in. A little bit before you wake up, I'll have to give you a push to get you up fully, but other than that...." She trails off.
"Will I be able to see you again after this?" I ask cautiously. She looked so lonely, but at my question she brightens up.
"Yes!" She says excitedly. "Once you've been here once, you can come back as often as you want, whenever you sleep." She laughs. "It'll be nice to have someone other than Tony to talk too."
"I'll bet." I say. "Can't Loki visit you?" I ask.
"Dad can, but he doesn't very often. He hasn't since he attacked your world." She says sadly.
"But thats been almost a year!" I exclaim.
"He hasn't talked to any of us. Me or my three brothers."
"Wait." I say, putting my head in my hand. "I'm still trying to cope with the fact that Loki has a daughter, let alone four kids." I say with a sigh.
"They're all animals if it makes you feel any better." She says, shrugging her shoulders.
"Now, I understand siblings, but calling them animals..." she laughs.
"No, they're literally animals.they have human forms, but rarely use them." She says. "Sleipnir is an eight legged horse, Fenrir is a wolf, a large one mind you, and Jormunganrdr is a snake."
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"Would it help if I told we all hated our mothers?"
        "Not really."
"Oh." We sit in an uncomfortable silence.
"So do I just sit here for the next three days?" I ask after a few minuets.
"Oh! No, of course not. Time moves faster here anyway. It'll only feel like a day for you." She pauses. "Until then I can create almost anything you want to do." I smile at that.
        "Ever heard of Battleship?"
