I look around the entire room as no one moves after Greeny. What the heck was wrong with them?! "Are you guys serious right now?" I ask, looking at everyone. Stark and Natasha stumble into the room. "You just told me about how this guy tried to commit mass genocide. And you are all just standing there like he shouldn't be in a jail cell!"

The look on Greeny's face crumples into confusion. "What..... What is going on here?" He asks, looking around for an explanation. I see Phil sigh.

"May was supposed to keep you occupied longer." Phil says.

"Why is she looking at me like that?" He asks in a low voice. Everyone avoids his eyes. "Someone tell me!" He yells.

"Loki..." Nat says in a warning voice. "She.. she has amnesia." I see everything in him drop, and he looks straight at me in disbelief. His mouth opens, then closes again.

"How.." He chokes on his words "How much has she forgotten? What... what does she remember?" I roll my eyes.

"The last thing I remember about you, Greeny, which I can answer because I'm sitting right here, is you being put in handcuffs and taken to your cage like you deserved." Greeny blinks and looks shocked, as if I've slapped him. I see everyone staring at me as well. "What, am I wrong?"

"Sophie." This time, it's Steve giving me a warning look. "Stop." I look at him with disbelief.

"Loki, we haven't gotten a chance to explain everything that has happened. We're telling her everything in order. We hope something is going to jog her memory." Clint says. This time it's him I can't believe. Greeny had him under Mind Control, and he's trying to make him feel better! What is wrong with all of them?

Greeny continues to look at me with this... lost look in his eye. The sadness on his face sends a pang of hurt through me, and my first instinct is to make sure he's okay. Why on earth do I feel like that? I must have Stockholm Syndrome or something. I see Greeny glance down at my stomach, and when I look down I see that I've rested my hands there. I quickly move them back to my sides and glare at him.

"What? Am I supposed to have a stab wound from you on my stomach or something?" I ask. His hurt eyes meet mine, but he doesn't say anything. Ever since I woke up, that feeling of loss refuses to leave. I don't understand it. A beep makes me turn away from glaring at Greeny, and I see Phil looking down at his communicator.

"Loki. Melody." Is all Phil says, looking at Greeny. Greeny nods slowly.

"Who's Melody?" I ask, making him freeze. "You actually get a girlfriend? I feel sorry for that poor girl. Whoever she is." I watch as Greeny closes his eyes for a second and swallows before he continues out the door. He stops by Nat and tells her something quietly so that I can't hear it, and leaves.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" I half yell, seeing the looks everyone is giving me. "What on earth did I do wrong?"

"Go easy on him." Nat says quietly. "You can't remember what he's gone through."

Loki's POV~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

By the time I got back to the tower, all I wanted to do was hold my daughter close. Sophie had forgotten me. No... worse. She only remembered the moments that she knew she hated me. I walk out of the elevator to see May holding my crying child. "She woke up, and I can't deal with kids." Is all she says before she hands me Melody. "How did it-"

"I'll be in the nursery if you need me." I interrupt quietly. I make my way down the hallway to the room next to Sophie and I's, and open it, looking at the pale green color of the walls Sophie had insisted on. She had strongly rebelled against the normal pink color for girls with everything she had in her against Pepper. It had been extraordinarily amusing, but both of them had gotten angry when the rest of us had laughed at them.

"Hush little Melody..." I whisper quietly, rocking her as I sat down in the rocking chair. "Mummy's awake now." I whisper quietly. "She doesn't remember us though. But that's okay. She will. She can't forget us forever. We'll be okay." I brush back her dark blond hair away from her eyes. She giggles quietly, the small beautiful sound making me smile softly.

"Mummy will come back." I whisper again, kissing he forehead. "I know she will."
