I feel Loki take me into his arms, holding me close while I was shaking. This had been the worst nightmare in a long time, and I stared straight ahead, not looking at anything, tears leaking from my eyes. I can hear Loki softly speaking in my ear trying to calm me down. I'm dimly aware of Frigga taking control, getting everyone out of my room and shutting the door.
"Oh, my dear..." I hear her whisper in a horrified voice. I turn, my eyes focusing on her, and I flinch as her hand reaches towards my arm. Loki brushes a hand through my hair.
"Love, it's okay. You won't hurt her." He says.
"I'm so sorry..." I whisper, my voice shaky. She frowns at me.
"What do you mean? You've done nothing wrong." She says, confused. I glance down, looking at the burned sheets. "We need to get a healer..."She murmurs, looking at my arms and legs.
"No." Loki and I say at the same time, surprising her. "They'll go away soon." I whisper. "I hope." Frigga looked at me, still worried and slightly confused, but she doesn't say anything about it.
"What was it this time Love?" Loki asks, his fingers still going through my hair. He knew that it calmed me down. "I know it was different. Worse. I haven't seen these before." He says, running a finger over the mutilated skin on my arm.
"It... it was an attack dog." I say quietly. "It was so nice, and them... It just hurt so much. And then they wanted to see if it slowed down my healing." I feel him hold me a little tighter, though I don't think he knew he was. I noticed Frigga staring at my arm, watching the scars slowly fade, my skin knitting itself back together. She seemed amazed.
"They're disa-" She's interrupted by a knock on the door, and Mag's head pokes in the door.
"Queen Frigga?" Frigga stands and nods, acknowledging her presence. "I've gotten what you've asked. And..." She glances behind her. "Warrior Barton would like to enter as well. To see how Miss Sophie is doing."
"I don't think that would be very wise." Frigga says.
"He just wants to make sure I'm okay. He's been through this before too." She thinks about it for a moment before nodding. Mag enters the room carrying a bowl and a towel, and Clint follows after her, looking over at me. I try to give him a smile, but it's small and weak. He nods once, not saying a thing before turning to leave. "Clint?" He stops, turning.
"Yeah Sophie?"
"Thank you for helping Thor get Loki." I say, and Clint smirks.
"Well, I didn't want to die." He says sarcastically. I roll my eyes and stick my tongue out at him, making him laugh. "Glad to see you're feeling better. You're being mean." I feel Loki's chest vibrate with a chuckle, and I glare at him.
"What?" He asks. "You can't get mad. It's true." Clint slips out the door, and I hear Frigga laugh. We both turn to look at her.
"You two really are perfect for each other." She says. "And my son and your friends must coordinate well, keeping you distracted so you would stop thinking of what troubles you." I pause, realizing that is exactly what they had done. "And your emotions must be tied to your healing. The more you got into a good mood, the faster your scars healed." I looked down, and sure enough, they were next to nothing. Almost gone. I turn back to Loki, leaning back and raising an eyebrow at him.
"Is that true? You guys have some sort of back-up plan?" He doesn't say anything, his silence answering me. "Loki!" I whine, making Frigga laugh.
