"Sophie!" Someone is pounding on my door. I jump up and run over to the door, pulling it open. Pepper is standing there, looking frantic. She pushes past me and into my room.

"Pepper? What's going on?" I ask, shutting the door and walking over to her. She goes into my closet.

"The bifrost portal thing. It opened up, and we thought it was just Thor coming back from taking Magdaline back, but he showed up with.... with..."

"With...? Take a deep breath Pep. Who was he with?" I ask, laying a hand on her shoulder. Her eyebrows furrow.

"Um.... it's hard to explain." She says. "You do know that Loki has kids, right?" She asks, and I nod slowly. "And they're not exactly...." She waves her hands around, trying to think of a word.

"Wait, Pep... do you mean that they're here?" I ask hesitantly, and she nods. It's my turn to start flipping out. "As in now? Oh my gosh. What am I supposed to say? To do? What if they hate me?" She opens her mouth to speak, but a another knock at the door stops her.

"Love, I'm coming in." Loki says, opening the door. He walks in a few steps and sees Pepper. "I see Pepper told you." He says cautiously.

"You couldn't have given me a little warning?" I exclaim, rushing over next to Pepper at the closet.

"Love, I didn't know that they were coming today. Heimdall heard us talking about you meeting my sons, and he told Thor, who took matters into his own hands." He explains. "Trust me, it was as much of a surprise for me as it is for you."

"Loki, I don't know what to do! What if they hate me?" I ask. He sighs and gives me a hug. I bury my face in his chest.

"They're going to love you. Trust me." He says. "Now, they're waiting in the living room."

"Are you sure?" I ask, and he chuckles.

"Yes love." He looks over at Pepper. "Why don't I give you a few minutes. I'll try to keep them entertained." He says, giving me a peck on the forehead before quickly leaving the room. I slowly sit on the bed, trying to gather my thoughts and Pepper sits next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"Hey, you're going to be fine. They seemed.... nice. They'll love you." She says, and I smile.

"Thanks for trying to help Pep." I whisper, and she nods, giving me a squeeze.

"Actually...." She trails off, and I pull away, looking at her curiously. "I... never mind. It's stupid." She goes to get up, and I pull her back down.

"No, what's wrong?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Pep, you've put up with all of my crap for so long, it's about time you gott something off your chest." Pepper looks down at her hands, obviously unsure, before looking back up at me.

"How did you tell Loki you were pregnant?" She asks curiously.

"I didn't." I say with a slight frown. "He found out while we were kidnapped, my "father" having found out told everyone." I say, making air quotations around the word 'father'. "Why.... Pepper...?!" She says nothing. "Pepper, are you pregnant?" I ask quietly, putting a hand softly on her shoulder. She nods once, a slow, small nod.

"I don't know what to do." She whispers. "Tony, I don't think he wants kids. Not now." I frown, and grab her shoulders, standing in front of her.

"Have you seen him with Melody? That look he gets on his face when he thinks no one is watching? He wants a baby Pep." I say. I had seen it a few times. "He's going to be an amazing dad. And you are going to be an absolutely brilliant mother." She looks up at me before jumping up, hugging me hard.
