Arriving in school the next day was hectic. There was a group of people surrounding the front entrance of the school. As I hopped out of my car I could see two bodies fighting. How stupid of them to do it on school grounds. As I walk closer I freeze. Jake was fighting Derek. Why the hell are those two fighting! Rebecca approached me when she saw me.

“Why are they fighting?” I asked as she approached.

She shrugged, “I have no idea. But how was your date?”

I gave her a bewildered look, “Derek and Jake are fighting and you want to talk about my date with Derek?”

She shrugged again and I shook my head. I had to stop the fight. I pushed my way through the crowd with Rebecca following behind me. I heard her throw a few cusses out to people who pushed her or yelled something at her. When I got to the place where they’re right in front of me I saw Jake tackle Derek to the ground. “Jake!” I yelled in frustration. What the heck does he think he’s doing?

Jake didn’t stop though. A few moments went by and the guys still didn’t stop. Having enough of the fight I walked over to Derek who is now wailing on Jake. I grabbed the back of Derek’s shirt and tried to pry him off Jake. That gave Jake the opportunity to push Derek off him, causing me to stumble back.

“Stop it!” I yelled when I approached them again. This time Jake stopped hitting Derek and they both stilled. Their eyes drew up to me. “Why the hell are you two fighting?”

Jake got to his feet and Derek followed. They both fixed their clothing and wiped blood off their faces. “He was talking shit about you,” Jake said as he pointing to Derek.

My eyes snapped to Derek and I saw his gaze harden as he looked at Jake, “That’s bullshit. Jake was talking crap because he heard I took you out. I bet he’s jealous.”

“I don’t want her associating with a jackass like you!” Jake exclaimed.

“There’s nothing to see here!” Rebecca yelled to the audience that the guys attracted. “Go on, get!” Landon came up with Riley and yelled at our fellow students to leave.

The guys started bickering again. I sighed before I said, “Stop! Jake, did you start the fight?”

He looked at me in disbelief, “You’re believing him over me?”

“No!” I exclaim. “I just want to get the record straight!”

“Your friend here is jealous,” Derek said.

          “Shut your mouth,” Jake seethed.

I ran my hands in my hair in frustration. “Rebecca told me Jake,” I murmured.

He stopped yelling at Derek and looked at me. Then his eyes wandered to Rebecca who stood behind me. “Why would you tell her?” Jake yelled.
