The kiss was soft and gentle, but I had no time to enjoy it. My eyes bugged out of their sockets as I fought against Derek's hold. What the hell is he doing? How can he do this to me? The curtains closed and the bright spotlights vanished. I ripped myself out of Derek's hold and sobbed. Tons of emotions were running through my mind at once that I couldn't focus on one. I didn't know what to do. I refused to look at Derek when I backed away and walk down the stairs to the green room. The cast and extras were changing back into their normal clothes before going out and meeting up with their family and friends who are waiting in the lobby.

I went straight into the girls' restroom, knowing Derek was right on my heels. I knew he wouldn't follow me in here but I didn't count on Rebecca coming to get me. "Anna, let Derek explain."

I fell on the tiles and wiped my tears away. Black goo covered my fingers so Rebecca handing me some paper towels. "Thanks," I mumbled and wiped my cheeks to get rid of the running mascara. "I'm sorry about earlier," I said when Rebecca sat beside me. "I guess I should be saying how you've been my best friend since childhood and I love you so much."

"Stop it," Rebecca mumbled. "Derek needs to talk to you."

"Why?" I asked harshly. "He kissed me! I'm going to die and I don't know how much time I have left!"

Rebecca ran her fingers through her hair. "Derek missed the musical because your parents called him."

"What?"

"You just need to talk to him," Rebecca said. "He'll explain everything."

I sighed but nodded my head. We got off the floor and cleaned up my face before exiting the bathroom. Derek was sitting on a folded down chair waiting impatiently. I could tell because he had his fingers intertwined on his lap and he bounced his leg up and down. Rebecca nodded, telling me to listen to this hardheaded man I fell in love with. I agreed and watched as Derek raised his head and saw his standing here. He didn't waste any time getting to his feet and coming over to me.

"Let me explain Anna," he said in desperate. Is it bad I kind of enjoyed it?

I still felt hurt he didn't tell me but told Rebecca but I understand at the same time. He didn't want me to ruin my performance tonight but at the same time I would've loved to know where the heck he was. Rebecca felt saying she was going to meet everyone in the lobby. She said she'd tell them we will be out soon. I smiled a goodbye to her and watched as she went through the double doors. I sighed through my nose before looking up at Derek.

"Let me change first," I mumbled, passing him to get to where my clothes were. I made sure everything was here first before going into the bathroom again. I changed quickly in order to get this talk over this. When I reappear from the bathroom there's this sudden urge to avoid whatever Derek has to say. It's something bad; I know it already by the way he's looking at me. "How about we go say hi to everyone before we talk?" I asked, not looking at him.
