It's been two weeks since my dad died and i've kind of put it away in a box. I'm just going to focus on my mission and get it over with. I'm beginning to waste time.

I feel like my normal self, only letting it hit when i wanted to face it. A lot of people who've grieved had said it's a healthy coping mechanism as long as i'm actually facing it at some point.

"Hey."
I spin around and face the blonde cactus "sup"
"Mine for the project later?"
"Awww man, looks like i can't go" i say, obviously being idiotic.
"It's not like i want to do it with you anyway, ugly hairless cat looking ass" he growls lowly.
"Chillll, it was all a joke" i grin at him to which he just looks away.

I rock back and forth on my chair as i listen to Ectoplasms maths lecture. There's gentle chatter in the background as people do independent worksheets.
For some reason, when i tried to rock back again my chair wouldn't move. I twist to face Bakugo, who's brows are furrowed as he focuses on his work, also holding the back of my chair with his free hand.

"Why are you holding onto my chair?" i complain.
"You're rocking back and forth. It's annoying." He grumbles, doing practice questions on the nth term.
I huff and cross my arms "I have pent up energy i can't help it"
"Then go sit next to Denki, i'm sure his ADHD can keep up with you"

I glance over and bestie is waving at me. I scan the desks around him and they're all taken up.
"There's no seat next to him though" i whine as i wave back at him.
"I hope you realise that i simply don't care." Bakugo's words become sharper by the second and i decide to turn back around. I tuck my chair into my desk and finally his hand leaves my chair.

I stare hopefully at the clock and wish for it to go faster. Unfortunately, there's still 15 minutes left of the lesson.
I attempt to read the questions at least, trying to do some in my head but the more i look at them, the more the paper looks scrunchable and flammable.
I'm so bad at maths it's embarrassing.

I turn to annoy the chihuahua again "Kaaatsukiii" i drag out his name and look at him with pleading eyes.
"Don't call me that." he looks up at me through his eyebrows, his jaw clenched "what?"
"Can you help me with the work?" i smile sweetly.
"No." he sighs and continues writing away, answering the questions with ease.
"pleeeeeaaaseeeee"
"For the sake of my sanity, stop"
"I'll stop if you help me" I say as i place the piece of paper in front of him on his desk.

He lets out an exasperated breath before picking up the sheet.
"Which part do you need help with?"
"All of it" I grin awkwardly. He peaks over the piece of paper at me, his scarlet eyes piercing through me. My heart stops for a second.

He sucks on his teeth before flipping the paper around, pointing at the first question "read it."

I squint my eyes at the small text "Find the nth term of this sequence"
"mhm" he nods "now look at the sequence"
I glide my eyes down the page.

"7, 13, 19, 25"

"So... find the nth term" he shrugs and hands me back the paper.
"Bakugo" i groan "i can't, why did you think i asked for help?"
"Really? you can't figure it out?!"
"No" i frown.

He snatches the paper back and flips his notebook open, handing me them pen.
"Write out the sequence"
I grumble and write it out.
"Good, now how many numbers does it go up by?"
I count for a second "6"
"Correct, write that down. 6n"
I do as he says and write down 6n.

I look up at him and he raises his brows "do you not know how to do it at all??"
"eh" i shrug.
He pinches the bridge of his nose "figure out the number before the 7 in the sequence"
"Oh, it's 1" i grin.
"Ta-da that's your answer"
"what is?" i blink.

He snaps and rips the pen from my grip and pulls the notebook towards himself.
He scribbles down the answer and holds the book up so i can read it.

"Ohhhh 6n+1" i nod "thanks" i take my sheet back just as the bell rings.
"Goddamit" he mutters "right let's go, idiot"

I pack my things away quickly and trip over my chair as i stand up "whoops"
He glares impatiently.

He starts to leave the room and i run slightly to catch up with him. We walk through the halls in silence, both of us not really knowing what to say.

We make it out of UA's grounds and start walking down the street. I have no clue where we're going so i have to follow Bakugo which is annoying. He's such a slow walker, i wish i could skip ahead but i'd get lost.

"You're a good teacher" i mention casually before almost tripping myself up.
He snorts at me stumbling "yeah, i tutor kids on weekends"
My eyes widen.
"you WHAT?!" I gasp loudly and start to walk directly next to him, my shoulder pressing against his bicep.
He steps away from me, grimacing at the contact "why? is it such a weird concept?"

I laugh "Uh- yeah?"
He raises a brow and looks down at me, waiting for an elaboration.
"Well, you're the violent dickhead who's mean to anyone in his path and literally hates people who are better than him" I chuckle to myself but he doesn't seem impressed.

"I'm only like that to people my age or older" he shrugs, eyes focusing back on the path ahead.
I scowl "but i'm younger than you"
"You're in my year at school, aren't you?!" he raises his voice.
I put my hands up in defence and back off him while giggling, following him once again.

He begins walking down the driveway of a very well-off house.
I gaze up at it, admiring the outside.
"OI, NEVER SEEN A HOUSE BEFORE?!"
I cringe at the question and walk down the driveway. It feels wrong to be here.
