"Joochan," I called out Joochans name the next day when I saw him walking towards the entrance of the school. "What is it?" He asked, giving me a tender smile. "I just really need to talk to you. It's urgent."
I pulled him towards the side of the building and cleared my throat nervously, not knowing how to start. "It just came to my mind that, I think I remember something essential for solving the mysterious connection between Bomin and Y," I scratched my neck and tried to avoid eye contact because I knew I'd stumble on my words if I stared into that pretty eyes of his.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I know I seem like a baddie sometimes, but I'm not all that bad. Just tell me when you're ready," He softly patted my head, which was making me blush, especially when realising we were all alone. "I do want to tell you," I softly said while trying not to blush, "But I'm scared that someone might hear," I stared at the ground nervously as Joochan grabbed my hand. "Rosaline," he said, "Don't be frightened, because I'll protect you. If you don't want to say it out loud, why not write it down?"
I nodded and opened my bag, searching for a pen and a paper I could use as a note and when I found it I looked at him again. "Before I write this.." I said, "I want to say I'm not sure, but you're the only person who can find out. That's why I trust this information to you and nobody else, because I feel like that if this is true, it might have to do with not only me, but with you and my friends too." I waited for his response as he kneeled down and grabbed my hands. "I am thankful you trust me, because I've wanted that for so long." he smiled and patted my head again, "I promise to keep it a secret." he said, "I won't ever say a word about it until I helped you."
I nodded thankfully and started writing, "Oh, and out of all people, it's most important Daeyeol doesn't see it." I noted, because if he found out, we would be in trouble for sure. Especially if it eventually ended up with Daeyin.
"It's done. I'll give it to you. Read it once, then burn it, okay?" I asked him and he nodded when receiving the note as he opened it and read what it said. His facial expression changed for a few seconds and his lips were trying to say something but he couldn't. "Are you okay? Like I said, I'm not sure--" "All I can say is, I hope you're wrong." He stood up and sighed, trying to calm himself down. I didn't know what came over me, but I gave him a soft hug, trying to comfort him. Without saying anything he hugged me back, before I felt a harsh item being thrown on my back.
"Hey! loverbirds, it's time you get into your classes!" We both turned around as we saw one of our teachers and we hurriedly went inside without sharing a word. "If this happens again I'll send you to my office." She warned and we both nodded and parted ways to our own classes. I missed Joochans embrace, he truly felt like a warm and sweet person. The way he held me tight just made my heart skip a beat. However, now was not the time to be distracted. Right now, I had another mission.
I stepped into the classroom and very unexpectedly decided to sit next to Mark, Jaehyuns stalker as it was my first step of my plan. I didn't say a word to him but gave him a soft smile. I needed to make him think I had forgiven him and wanted to be friends again, so I wrote a note to him with 'I forgive you'. He looked at me with a smug smile, because he was probably thinking he could get between me and Jaehyun again. Luckily, I had told Jaehyun I would be around Mark again because of information so he had to act as if he was annoyed by me interacting with him. After all, even though I couldn't tell Jaehyun everything, he trusted me a hundred percent. And that made me extremely thankful.
After the lesson I decided to go with Jibeom, because I didn't want to be too different I normally acted with my friends. Otherwise Mark would certainly know I had a plan. "Hey," Jibeom greeted as he smiled at me softly and I smiled back. "Want to have lunch together?" he asked and I nodded, following him to a seat in the cafeteria. "It's good to be with you for a while again. Lately you're always with others." I scratched my neck a bit awkwardly and gave him a soft sorry as he just shook his head. "It's fine. I understand it's a little awkward between us, but it's forgotten, okay? You're great and I won't lose you to something stupid like that. Plus, it's not bad for a guy to have his hopes up a little, right?" He smiled at me and gave me some of his broccoli, knowing I loved it.
"Thank you," I smiled and started eating, almost forgetting about what happened. Why did it have to turn out this way? Why had I been so stupid?
I sighed and saw Joochan walking into the cafeteria. He looked at me a bit worried, because I saw Daeyeol was walking our way. I eyed him it would be okay and told him to get over by text, but he replied:
Hong Joochan:
Stay there, I'll just watch over you from here.
Don't worry, I always got your back
Just eat deliciously
Me:
You too :)
I smiled a bit and continued eating, thinking about everything when Daeyeol sat next to me. He looked at us with big eyes, so I knew he had to say something important.
"Guys, I found something out," he said,
"Sunggi is Y's little sister."
