꧁ Hero's Pov ꧂
I get into the building.
I follow her to the lift.
She presses the button and the doors open.
She places herself to the side and let me walk in first.
"Alright" she say leaning forward, still standing out of the lift.
"It's the eleventh floor." she says placing the shopping bags on the corner of the lift.
"Where are you going?" I ask her not understanding why she's not coming in with me, since we are both headed to her apartment.
"I'm taking the stairs." she says.
"What? Eleven floors of stairs?" I ask so shocked.
"Yes. See you up there." she says letting the doors close.
Is she trying to avoid embarrassing moments between us?
Or maybe... is she claustrophobic and I forgot about that?
I quickly get to the floor so I take all the bags out from the lift and I wait for her looking around and trying to imagine or even remember about the apartment.
After two minutes I hear some steps getting closer and closer.
"I'm sorry for making you wait." she says stepping the last stair and walking toward to me.
"Don't worry." I say noticing that she's gasping a bit but not enough after stepping on eleven staircases.
"That's the door." she says passing right behind me with her hands with the groceries bags, guiding me to the door.
I take a deep breathe when I smell her scent.
It's sweet but that light sweet that leaves a sensation of pleasure in you.
"If I can ask... why you didn't got the lift?" I ask when she's giving me her back while she's unlocking the door.
"It's a long story but making it short, I just had a panicked attack when I was into a elevator and since then I always take the stairs." she explains looking at me over her shoulder while I notice how her eyes get darker.
"I'm sorry." I say feeling so bad to even ask that question.
"Don't worry." she says showing me a briefly smile.
The key finally stop turning and then she opens the door .
"Well, I'm sorry for the apartment conditions but I wasn't expecting for guests." she says mortified? guiding me in a long hallway and then at the end of it my jaw falls to the ground.
Am I dead and I didn't still realised? Because if it is true, now I can get that she is my angel and this is heaven.
There is a massive window wall, wall that let us admire the fucking Tower Bridge.
I look at her so confused by how a joking girl like her can afford to buy an apartment like this.
Is she rich?
"Bloody hell." that's the only thing it comes out my mouth.
I slowly walk toward the glass so overwhelmed by the beauty of my city.
Did I really had the chance to admire this view every day? This is a fucking dream to me.
Now I get why I moved here.
A loud noise scares me.
I look over my shoulder and I see her taking the plastic covers away from the white sofas and only then I get to notice how huge and empty the place is.
There isn't any dust, there are the furniture but there isn't anything else.
I look at the empty library and then I ask myself about where she been since this house looks a bit abandoned.
"Take a seat." she says aiming the sofa with her eyes.
"Thanks." I say showing her a little smile and sitting on it.
This isn't a sofa this is a literal cloud.
My nostrils get to smell the fabric of the sofa and the lava dry smell makes me feel like home even i didn't liked lavender that much in the past.
"Do you want a coffee or something?" she asks from the kitchen.
Wait. She said coffee?
"Coffee? Did I really used to drink coffee?" I asks turning around and looking at her placing the food into the two doors refrigerator.
"Yes. I made you use to it." she says with her head hided by the fridge door.
My eyes falls on her butt since she's fully leaned back.
I look immediately away.
