꧁ Josephine's POV ꧂
Are already 5 days from when we got back in London. We really had fun in New York but we had things that were waiting for us in here, so, we had to come back. Hero already started training with his new team here in London and when he get home he's so exhausted that he literally falls asleep while he's talking to me.
Today, I asked Douglas if I could get home earlier since I really want to get home before Hero falls asleep on the couch.
When I get home nobody is around so I deduce that he took Cooper for a walk. The timing it perfect so I can hide the little gift that I was waiting to give him from when we got back from New York.
"Babe?" I hear from the entrance and I almost let go the glass shatter on the floor. I exhale thinking that I might just had a little heart attack. "Yes?" I ask him and after few seconds I see Cooper running to me. "Hey baby." I say caressing his little head while his paws are on my knees.
Right after I see Hero walking in, with all his gorgeousness.
"Hey. I saw your shoes at the entrance." he says explaining why he made me have a heart attack by yelling my name. "Yeah, I could imagine that." I say giggling while I feel his arms wrapping around my torso. "You're home early." he whispers kissing my cheek. His hair even if they are pulled back with a black hair band the get to tickle my cheek.
I turn around and I wrap my arms around his neck looking right at his eyes that are the only thing in this world that can make me feel better no matter what. "Yeah, I wanted to spend some time with you." I tell him looking at his tired eyes and kissing his lips softly. Lips that taste like a orange energy drink that the are used to drink during the trainings.
When I end the kiss he waits a few seconds to open his eyes and he smiles at me.
"I'm so sorry for falling asleep once I touch the bed." he says apologizing. "You shouldn't be apologizing for something that your body needs. It's okay." I say kissing his cheek.
"Can you get the tv remote and put some music?" I ask after I clear my throat trying to act normal. "Oh of course." he says getting to the sofa. "Which song-" he starts to asks but he stops himself and looks at me slowly picking something up.
He saw it.
"What's this?" he asks showing me the little white box that I closed wrapping a bow around. "Something that I was waiting to give to you but since you were passing out the last few nights, I couldn't." I tell him giggling, leaning my ass on the headboard of our sofa. "Shouldn't I be buying you gifts since your birthday is coming up? It's something expensive?" he asks showing me a annoyed face. He doesn't like when I spend to much money. "A bit, like everything in New York but it's worth it." I say while my heart is beating really fast looking at his fingers that are loosing up the bow. My heart in on my throat while I can feel my heartbeat even on my feet.
