Josephine's POV

"So what the doctor said?" Christian says placing his hand on my father's shoulder while he is looking straight at me.

It makes me so happy see my dad this happy.
He looks happier when he get off from work and comes to visit his old college friend, Christian.

"He replaced the neck brace with a softer one and told me that I can talk again." I tell Christian.
I feel Douglas hand place right on my hand that was literally trembling placed on my half naked thigh.
His touch is so solid but gentle at the same time. It makes me feel so protected even from my emotions.

He holds my hand and interlocks our fingers.
His thumbs starts immediately to draw imaginary circles on my skin.
I look up at him while my heart is pounding even more harder after his sweet and pleasantly unexpected.
He smiles just a bit to comfort me while his eyes are assuring that everything will go well.
"Chris." I say interrupting the little talk between him and my dad.
"Yes?" he asks looking at me a bit worried.
I guess I'm even more pale than the usual.
"I wanted to talk to you about a business thing with you when you have time..." I say and his eyebrows frowns a bit.
"Oh alright. If you don't mind you can also say it here." he says and look at Eleanor sit on his side and Douglas.

I trust them.

"I don't mind." I say without hesitation.
"Alright, you have my attention." Christian says  touching the collar of his shirt.
A thing that he does so many times per day.

"So I was reading some stuff on Twitter and many fans were asking me to do some book signing events, since I didn't had the chance to go on Europe last year because of the pandemic... I was thinking to do a book signing in like 4 countries." I say with just one breathe.

"This is a really good idea." Eleanor says smiling.
Her eyes are shining while her warm smile feels like a proud mama's smile.

I smile her back looking at her new short hair with some light brown hilights.

"You already thought about the countries?" He asks sipping his red wine.
"Yes." I say holding Douglas hand even tighter.
"Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal." I tell him.
"We don't have our publishers there but I can ask to organize it with a collaboration of some book stores there." he explains.
"You really would do it?" I ask with tears coming up.

A book signing in Europe?
Are we kidding? This could be a dream.

"Of course! It will help you and it will help our company. Why not?"
"When you want to do it?"
"Even the next week." I say giggling looking at Douglas.
"I'll see what we can do." he says and my smile drops.

I was kidding but he is not.

Next week? It would be amazing.
I need to unplug the plug for a bit.
After the fight and now Hero remembering things... I need to stay for my own and keep myself busy.

"But honey your fans will get so overwhelmed about what you have going on, on there.." Eleanor says pointing at my neck.
She is so right. I didn't thought about it.
"You're right." Christian says looking at his wife and placing his hand on hers that is right on the table.

I take a moment to look at their fingers interlocked to each other like mine and Douglas.
I get captured by their wedding rings.

I've never seen a married couple love each other this much.
My parents have a beautiful relationship and of course Chris and Eleanor have their up and downs but I've never saw a couple solve problems like they do.
They talk and even if Chris is a important business man he always finds time for her and he even takes times of to dedicate time to her and their relationship.
Eleanor always told me: "we will never stop discovering each other."
