꧁Hero's POV ꧂
The surprise is a weekend in New York.
Since Jo told me that we never had a flight or a vacation in another country together, I couldn't say no to her.
I'll be working out in New York anyway, less than us usual but I'll.
In the past days I kept looking at Jo getting excited about the baby boy that will born in almost six months.
She started to buy him things and clothes.
This man didn't even came out yet and he already owns more clothes than me.
She also was so excited for this trip to New York. She's so happy to back there and I could clearly see how much she missed that city at the beginning of my stay with her in the apartment, she missed that weather, her sister and her best friends.
Jo will get even to see Olivia again.
I'm excited too for this trip because I never been in the States and I really want to see we're she lived when she was away from me, her life style and I want her to get to see her friends that she really misses.
The only thing that I'm not really crazy about is Cooper taking the flight with us. It will scare the shit out of him but we didn't want to leave him, we just got him.
I look at her sleep invite with her AirPods on.
I hug her a bit tighter while I hope that her head doesn't falls off from my shoulder, hurting her neck.
This is the third flight in a week for me and I really forgot how much I loved flying.
I remember when I used to be little and my family was a family, we had a trip to Italy how much I loved taking flights and seeing new places and thank God that both of our jobs gives us the chance to see me places and many countries.
But since I've never got to travel as a couple , even if Nathan and Katherine are on the flight with us, I have to say that fly with her and doing new things in general, with her, makes me feel some butterflies every time.
For the whole flight, I enjoy her warmth and the view from the window.
We land and we find a really typical British rainy day.
"We brought home with us, I guess." I say giggling and making the others laugh.
We get Cooper and our suitcases and then we take an upper to Katherine and Nathan's home.
It's so New York style.
It's less fancier than our apartment, the walls are made of red bricks but the furniture are petty modern made of glass and the sofa all in leather.
There is so much green thanks of the many plants that are swinging around the house.
"This apartment is so you." Josephine says wrapping an arm aping her sister's waistline.
"So you're buying one too?" Katherine asks since Josephine clearly expressed her need to by an apparent here in New York.
"It always been my dream and I want to accomplish it" , that's what she said and even if I find it really a waste of money since she is searching one with a view on the Empire State Building and she will get to see it like maybe twice a year, I find so cute the fact that she wants to accomplish a her childhood dream.
"Yes, we will be searching for some tomorrow, Gray and E already found some." she says smiling at Katherine while Cooper fell asleep with his chin on my leg.
The flight must made him so tired.
After having lunch in a typical New York restaurant Jo and I are headed to a book press.
The press conference room is big almost like a football field, the difference is that this field has hundreds and hundreds of people sit.
There's a stage that is kinda like the little stage that is fort ball players get to go after a important match to answer some questions of the medias.
