Maura and I got up had lunch with Frankie before we headed to stores that Maura had planned for me that had reasonable prices for my shopping needs with my budget.
"Jane I came up with a list,  while I am driving to the outlet stores  please put an asterisk on what is your top priorities.  I know you  cannot buy everything at once.  Put a circle on things you will get later but not in your budget." I planned on getting a few of the items that Jane wouldn't get right away. I just didn't want her to know. "Jane we will go to all these stores so we can get prices, brands,  and sizes. Don't make fun of my strategy it works. Believe it or not I did the same when my nani left me her home.I  didn't want to go through my trust fund quickly. Each pay check,  I would buy one big item and one small item. It took me three years to get all I wanted. Many people probably assumed  that I just decorated my home immediately and shopped for my appliances immediately.  The first two appliances were my coffee maker and juice appliance.  I needed my morning coffee and the juice appliance so I can start off with a healthy not always being a fruit cup." " " Aye, Maura thanks for telling me. Let's start off with a coffee maker and a toaster."
Jane's list comprised of; coffee maker * , bedding*, towels for bathroom *, microwave*, kitchen towels*, baskets for bathroom ○,lamps for bedroom and front room ○,recliner ○, end and coffee table○, kitchen table and chairs ○, dishes *, pots and pans *, silver ware*, cooking utensils○,blank canvases○, easel○, oil paints for painting○ . I knew Jane enjoyed her painting class which helped her relax besides jogging. I just never saw her work,  until I picked her up when she couldn't get her jeep to start and it was being towed to the garage. She removed a painting she had finished.  I was amazed at the quality of work.  It could of been a piece from an art gallery and been sold easily for several thousand dollars.  My purchases for her would be her art supplies, cooking utensils which I planned on teaching her quick, easy healthy meals and a recliner.  She probably would get mad at me but that is okay with me. She has been a good friend to me. She come when I call and it didn't matter if I woke her up, painted my office and yoga studio when I told her I had to find a painter and make room in my schedule for it to be done.

*flashback*
I had the paint chip on my desk and she picked up the information off of it. She went after work and picked up the paints and supplies. She came by home one weekend morning by 7:30 a.m. Jane has never been a morning person. She brought everything she needed to complete the job. She knew I  was procrastinating on finding a qualified painter that wouldn't take advantage of my money. I cried when I saw what she brought. "Maura you can let me go now. I have work to do. Please just tell me what color paint goes in which room, go for your run and whatever else you have planned. All I ask for my hamburger, fries and strawberry milk shake for lunch."  Jane did a fine job on both.  My yoga she started on first with light green hue. I  returned from my jog, took a shower and brought her some cold water and a peach before heading off to the Daily Robber to pick up our lunch. When I returned with our lunch,  she was just finishing up the cream trim. I hugged her and she ate quickly as usual. "Okay, Maura as usual you slow. You can stay but no talking. I have about and half hour more on the trim before I take a break and begin on your office." She wasn't happy that I had her stop and go with me shopping for some plants, a table, an oil diffuser with oils for the yoga studio.  Of course, she complained.  If we were not shopping for baseball attire or equipment,  she disliked shopping.   We returned late and we ate dinner that I ordered from a Thai Restaurant. Jane stayed the night because she was determined to get the painting done in my office that was a light gray. She got up before me. She wrote me a note. " Don't buy coffee or make breakfast. I will be back soon." She bought us some coffee and a cinnamon roll for breakfast. She finished the painting by noon. She had plans with Angela her MA and Frankie that day.

*Present day*

We arrived at her condo and she yelled out for Frankie to help us. I picked up some extra pillows for the couch, a oil diffuser and oils that she could take that were not too feminine in scent.  She was more of fruity and outdoor scents.  "Jane thank you for my new bed." "What are you talking about? I didn't buy you a bed. Get real, this is a one bedroom condo not two." Frankie pointed to a new recliner that I had seen earlier.  I liked this recliner because it was comfortable and had a beverage holder for my beer when I watch a cubs game.  It went well with my couch.
