Maura and I were going in work late today. We both got up grumpy. I changed to meet Hope and Maura changed into her Pjs.  She was going to work from home today.

We both looked like crap. We stayed up late holding each other and just talking about our friendship to the present. I gave Maura her morning forehead kiss and headed out to meet Hope at the gun range.
I drove up and she had her safety glasses and earmuffs on already..
We went inside and asked for one lane. I started working on her stance and helping her with her grip on her gun. I explained to her that with a revolver she had to be careful not to get skin between the hammer and the gun. I showed her how to load and unload her gun. After 39 minutes,  she was ready to take aim and shoot. She did quite well for actually shooting her gun. I asked her not to use it yet. I wanted at least one more day with her at the range. I followed her home and we went over how to clean her gun. She followed what I said.  She did a superb job of cleaning it. I left and headed to work after picking up a very strong coffee. Korsak, Frost and I were finalizing a case before we closed it. Frost was finishing inputting the facts. We reviewed it. He printed it out and the three of us sign it and left it for Cavanaugh to review it before it was being sent to closed cases.

I  had a short day and went home to find Maura taking a nap. I kissed her on her forehead and headed off to my studio to finish Maura's birthday present. My next painting would be us in our stance with props.  This one she could see.  I sketched it out on the canvas and started to paint it. Maura woke up and peaked in. I told her she could come in. Her painting was covered.  I stopped painting when I heard MA outside.

MA expressed her concerns with Tommy and her business.  She writes Tommy letter asking how he was doing and that she was having to fire him. I knew the firing wasn't easy for her . She couldn't put others at risk nor lose her company. We gave her a hug and she headed home.
