kevin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion when his screen suddenly said that he had no internet connection. he quickly tried to connect it again but unfortunately it didn't let him.
he was confused but then realized that his wifi most likely stopped working. it had been really bad lately and he was planning on getting it fixed but it turned out it stopped working quicker than he thought it would.
he sighed and tried to think of a solution. it would take quite a while for him to get new wifi and he couldn't be bothered to wait that long so he carried on thinking for a while.
it was around five minutes later when he finally thought of an idea. he looked at the time and saw that it was a good time to do it so he immediately rushed out of his bed and down the stairs. he quickly put his shoes on and then just left the house with his phone in his hand.
he ran next door and to the front door, before knocking on it loud enough so that they would definitely hear. he waited for a few seconds until he heard the door unlock and he saw it open.
he was then greeted with his neighbor, jacob. they weren't close at all, but they knew each other which also meant that they knew each other's names.
"why are you here, kevin?" jacob sighed.
"okay so..." he started and jacob motioned for him to speak quicker, so he did. "i was wondering if maybe i could have your wifi password? my wifi stopped working and i literally can't live with without the internet."
jacob raised his eyebrows and blinked a few times while looking at him before shaking his head. "nope."
"what?! why?" kevin exclaimed.
"because we hardly know each other. we're basically strangers. and i know that neither of us would give out wifi password to a stranger," jacob told him, crossing his arms over his chest
kevin groaned in frustration. "okay then. how about this? we become close enough until we're classed as what you would call 'friends' and then you'll give me your wifi password," he finished proudly.
jacob rolled his eyes. "fine... but good luck convincing me on actually talking with you."
jacob took a step back and was about to close the door when suddenly kevin put his foot in the door and poked his head around it.
"we can go out and get food, i'll pay," kevin said making jacob stare at him.
they stared at each other for a few seconds before jacob sighed and nodded. "okay fine. but we're going now since i'm hungry."
the older then pushed the door back open and closed it behind him after walking out before pulling a grinning kevin with him to the car.
