"you're not actually thinking about going to see him again, right?" yeosang asked in disbelief.
"well... maybe," seonghwa laughed nervously.
"you've got to be kidding me, hyung. you'll be dead if someone sees you two together! you know that angels and devils are forbidden to ever see each other," the younger said, hoping he could convince seonghwa.
"i know, sangie," the older said. "but i haven't seen him in two weeks now... and i really miss him!"
"i just don't want you getting hurt, hyung... you know the things they do when they see angels and devils together," yeosang said quietly and seonghwa frowned.
"i know... and we haven't gotten caught for two years now. he's my boyfriend, i can't just stop seeing him," seonghwa explained.
yeosang sighed. "but what if―︎"
"nothing will happen, sangie! i promise that i'll come back straight afterwards, okay?" seonghwa assured him, holding his hands. yeosang nodded as he gripped the other's hands. "i'll get going now, okay? i'll see you soon, i promise."
seonghwa hugged yeosang, helping the younger calm down more, before saying bye to him and walking out. he made sure that there was nobody else there until he continued walking, he couldn't get caught.
after around ten minutes of walking, he finally got to the hidden place where him and san would usually meet. he sat down on the ground and hugged his knees to his chest. it was very cold outside and seonghwa hadn't brought anything to keep him warm.
seonghwa had sat there for around fifteen more minutes, when he suddenly felt arms wrap around his shoulders from behind and hug him. he immediately knew who it was and relaxed into the embrace.
"how long have you been waiting?" san asked worriedly, making seonghwa sit up and shuffle around to face the other who was kneeling.
"around fifteen minutes i think," seonghwa told him while still shivering slightly. "but don't worry, i'm fine."
"you expect me to believe that when you're shaking like a leaf? come here," san said softly before opening his arms. seonghwa shuffled forward and laid down in the other's arms while san held him and stroked his hair.
"did anybody see you?" seonghwa questioned.
san shook his head. "nobody saw me, stop worrying."
seonghwa sighed and nodded, snuggling into san more. the younger gently played with the other's hair. they both went quiet after that, and sat in a comfortable silence.
bur unfortunately... it had to come to an end.
"what the fuck are you two doing?"

yeosang tapped his foot on the ground as he rested his head in his hands. it was way past the time seonghwa usually came home and he was starting to get worried.
"he'll come back... he's fine, everything's fine," he assured himself and closed his eyes to try and calm down.
his eyes suddenly shot open when he heard commotion from outside. he stood up and opened the door, seeing a ton of people talking and some freaking out. he stepped out and walked over to someone he recognised.
"hyung, what happened?" he asked, confused.
"you didn't hear?" yunho said. "an angel and a devil were caught together. they were behind the waterfall in the forest."
yeosang's eyes teared up at hearing that. especially when he knew the place they were caught. It was where seonghwa would meet san.
he turned around and walked back inside. as he closed the door, he let his tears fall. seonghwa had promised, but some promises were meant to be broken.
