taehyun contemplated whether he should continue studying or go to sleep when he looked at the time. he was exhausted and wanted to go to sleep, but was worried about what his parents would say.
this was a normal thing for taehyun. his parents were very strict with grades and always wanted him to be top of the class and have the best grades possible. they would get mad and yell at him whenever he got anything less that an A.
so every night, he would have to stay up late, or early if you put it another way, until 2-3am or sometimes 4am, studying. he used up basically all his free time studying. free time in school he was studying, free time at home he was studying, or even during lessons when he finished everything he would study. there were time where he felt that he would faint or collapse from exhaustion, and almost would every time.
taehyun wished that he could have a life like usual teenagers. he wished he could hang out with his friends whenever they asked instead of having to reject them and say that he had to study. he wished he could eat lunch with his friends in school instead of not having the time to eat and having to study in the library so he could concentrate.
but he couldn't. all because of his parents. even if he wasn't scared of his parents and he didn't care about what they thought, he still couldn't disobey them because they forced him to do all this and there was nothing he could do about it.
taehyun ended up thinking about it for a few more seconds, before deciding that he could probably get a bit more studying in before going to sleep. he didn't have that much more to do anyway, and after he was done with that, he would go to sleep.
but... he may of lost track of time. and once taehyun was finally finished (even though he actually accidentally did more than he needed to) he looked outside and saw that it was getting light outside. his eyes widened and he quickly checked the time, shocked to see that it was 7am.
welll, there wasn't really anything he could do now. he had gotten no sleep, but he had a test today, and he had to get to school. so, he quickly got ready, and headed straight to school. his parents didn't say a word to him as he left the house, but he knew that it was probably for the best.
he walked to school and got there in around fifteen minutes, once he arrived he saw his four friends stood there waiting for him. they were chatting and immediately greeted him when they saw him.
"hey, taehyun!" beomgyu exclaimed and the other smiled.
"you look really tired. did you get any sleep last night?" huening kai then pointed out.
