yunho was happy when he could finally go back home and see his boyfriend. he had a shorter shift, so he thought it would be a nice idea to surprise the other by going home early. once his shift ended, he immediately left and headed home, saying bye to his boss on the way out of course. he rushed to his care and got inside before starting the engine and started to drive
it took around ten minutes for him to get there and he parked in the driveway before hopping out the car and going inside the house. he was confused to hear how silent it was since usually his boyfriend would hear whenever he came home and would come and greet him.
he furrowed his eyebrows before walking up to their room. maybe he had fallen asleep. he got to the top of the stairs and went towards their bedroom door and opened it. he did it as quietly as possible, since he didn't want to wake the other if he was asleep.
"seoyun―︎" he stopped when he was greeted with something unexpected.
"yunho, w-what are you doing home?" seoyun stuttered.
"m-my shift ends early today... why... why are you in bed with another guy?" yunho's voice was barely audible.
seoyun stood up and quickly put on some of the clothes that were laying on the floor. "it's not what it looks like!"
"not what it looks like?!" yunho was getting frustrated. "you're in bed with another guy! and you're both naked! i think it's exactly what it looks like."
the other was speechless. "b-but it... it's nothing i promise."
"just forget it," yunho said and turned around to leave but suddenly stopped and looked at seoyun. "and we're over if you couldn't tell already."
after saying that, yunho immediately rushed out the house and once he got inside his car, he finally let his tears fall. he choked out a sob before starting the engine and driving away from the house. he starting driving to the house of someone he has known for a long time. they have been close ever since they were three and trust each other with their lives.
after around ten minutes, he finally got there and parked the car outside before quickly getting out. he rushed to the front door and knocked on it. he waited a few seconds before it opened and he was greeted with minho.
"yunho, why didn't you tell me―︎" mingi didn't get to finish his sentence because he was interrupted by yunho jumping on him. the younger quickly held onto him so he wouldn't fall and was shocked when he heard him cry. mingi felt his heart break at the sound and sight.
he pushed the door closed with his foot before picking yunho up and taking him towards the couch where he sat down with the older on top of him. he decided to wait until the other calmed down before asking what happened, knowing that if he did it now, it would make yunho more upset.
mingi held the other in his arms carefully, letting him cry as much as he wanted. it was horrible to see and hear his best friend in this state, but he knew that he had to be there for him and wanted to be there for him. eventually, yunho calmed down, and his sobbing turned into small sniffles. the older slowly leaned back do he was looking at the other and mingi still held onto him so he wouldn't fall backwards. yunho sighed and looked down to his lap making the younger frown.
"yunho..." he trailed off. "look at me please."
he still continued to look at his lap and didn't look up. mingi lifted his hand up and placed it on yunho's chin and then gently pulled his head to look up. mingi frowned even more when he saw the other's tear-filled eyes.
"can you... tell me what happened?" mingi asked softly.
yunho bit his bottom lip and thought for a moment before slowly nodding. "it's seoyun, he... i found him in bed... with a-another guy and..."
mingi shushed him when he noticed that he was about to cry again by his trembling voice, knowing that he couldn't carry on speaking about it. he carefully pulled yunho back to his chest and he felt the older relax into his hold.
"you don't need to speak about it anymore, okay? it's fine," mingi told, holding him tightly but comfortingly. yunho nodded and snuggled up to the younger, closing his eyes as he felt exhaustion wash over him. he tried to keep his eyes open and mingi noticed.
"it's okay, go to sleep. i'll be here when you wake up, okay?" mingi reassured him and yunho smiled weakly, glad to know the younger was there for him.
