sicheng looked around, finally realizing that he was completely lost. he was new to the area, well new to the country, since he had just moved to korea from china and had no idea where he was. he had tried asking people, but unfortunately nobody was kind enough to help him and would either ignore him or say no.
he sighed and sat on this random bench that was there. he honestly had no idea what to do right now. he had nowhere to stay and had no idea where he should go. he was starting to regret coming to korea in the first place and wished that he just stayed in china.
he was about to get up and start trying again, when suddenly someone stood in front of him. sicheng looked up to see who it was, confused to why they were stood there. he was greeted with a guy, a very pretty guy in sicheng's opinion. he didn't really know what to say so he just ended up staring at the guy until he spoke first.
"are you lost?" the stranger asked, making him nod in response. the guy sat down next to him on the bench and faced him. "not from around here?"
sicheng shook his head. "i'm from china. this is my first time in korea."
"oh really? i'm from japan but i've lived in korea for a few years now," he said, and sicheng hummed in response. "your korean is very good by the way.
"thank you," sicheng thanked the guy and the other just nodded as a response.
"ah!" he suddenly exclaimed and sicheng turned to look at him. "my name is yuta."
he nodded. "i'm sicheng."
the guy who was now introduced as yuta, smiled at him before standing up again. the action made sicheng think that he was going to leave, but was shocked and confused the other just continued standing there while looking at him.
"well, are you coming or not? i'll help you find a place to stay," yuta said and sicheng's eyes widened.
"really?" he asked
yuta nodded and motioned for him to follow and he immediately stood up and did as he was told. he ended up following yuta for a while until the other eventually slowed down enough for him to catch up. he walked next to other, confused to where they were going but trusted him and didn't ask any questions.
after around ten minutes of walking, they finally got to where it seemed yuta wanted to go. sicheng stopped when he did and turned to where the older was looking. it was a large building which he guessed was an apartment building or a hotel. they both walked inside and went to the front desk where a woman was.
"hi there," yuta said and the lady looked up. "i was wondering if there are any rooms available?"
"i'm so sorry, but unfortunately we don't have any available right now. we've been super busy lately and a room isn't going to be open for a few days," she told them and yuta sighed.
"really?" the woman nodded with a sympathetic smile. "okay, we'll get going then."
yuta then walked out of the building and sicheng immediately followed him. due to him still not being the best at korean, he didn't understand what the woman had said and was confused on why they were leaving again. once they got out the building, sicheng grabbed the other's arm making him look at him.
"what's wrong?" yuta asked.
"umm... where are we going. and why did we leave?" the chinese asked.
"sorry, i completely forgot!" the older said. "there are no rooms available so i'm going to find you another place to stay.
"oh... okay," sicheng was now getting worried that he wasn't going to have anywhere to stay and nervously walked next to yuta. suddenly the japanese stopped, so he did the same thing and the older faced him.
"i just had an idea!" he exclaimed.
"what is it?" the younger asked.
"you can come stay with me! i have an extra room and it saves time since i know that neither of us want to spend all day trying to find you a place to stay," he told him and sicheng instantly shook his head.
"no, no! it's okay, you don't have to do that," sicheng refused.
as much as the chinese wanted and needed to somewhere to stay and the older's good reason for him to stay, he decided to decline the offer since he didn't want to be a bother. he could just find somewhere to stay himself... even though he had no idea how.
"don't worry, it won't be a bother at all. to be honest, it gets kind of lonely since live by myself and also i think you'd make a nice roommate!" yuta explained to him.
sicheng sighed. "okay, fine."
"perfect!" yuta said before grabbing his hand. "let's go then."
