wonwoo slumped in his seat in relief when he had finally finished with his work and closed down his laptop after saving the file. he rubbed the back of his neck as he turned his head to look around the room. even if work was tiring and boring, it was the only thing that kept him occupied when mingyu wasn't home. everything else was just not fun in the slightest.
he let out an annoyed huff when he felt a headache coming on and stood up to go get medicine from the bathroom. as he made his way from the bedroom and was about to walk into the bathroom, he heard the front door open and his attention was immediately averted.
he walked down the hallway, and into the front room, where he saw mingyu taking off his shoes and hanging his coat up. he made his way over to the younger who turned around at hearing his footsteps, instantly smiling at the sight of the other.
he reached out his arms, wonwoo not wasting a second to instantly hug him. "did you finish your work?" mingyu asked, hoping that he had so they could spend some time together.
"yeah, just now actually," the older had a small smile on his face as his grip on mingyu loosened and he now had his arms lightly holding onto him. "are you hungry? i can make some food for you if you want."
"don't worry about that, i already ate," mingyu told him, his hands moving to cup the other's face gently. but as he did so, the smile on the younger's face slowly dropped and worry took over his face. "are you sick? you're burning up."
"i am?" wonwoo looked confused when he heard his lover say that and lifted his hands to feel his face as well. "i mean i do have a headache, but i didn't think i was sick."
"why haven't you taken any medicine?" mingyu asked him, softly rubbing his face with his thumbs, wonwoo putting his hands on top of the youngers'.
"well, i was about to..." he started, letting out a quiet laugh as he started the next sentence, a sheepish smile appearing on his face. "but then you got home and i kind of forgot about it."
"aish... what am i gonna do with you, hm?" he lightly pinched his cheeks with his fingers. "you go to the bedroom, i'll bring you some medicine, okay?"
"no, no, it's fine! it's not that bad," wonwoo said after hearing what the younger said. "i'll be fine after some medicine i don't need to go to bed."
"maybe that's true, but until you're better, you're staying in that bed and letting me look after you, okay?" mingyu pretended to scold the other, scrunching his nose and kissing him on the nose. "now, off you go." wonwoo gave him a joking glare before leaving and making his way to the bedroom.
mingyu smiled as he walked away, but ended up frowning, worried about the other. yes, maybe it wasn't that bad, but he was still sick so he was concerned. he walked towards the kitchen and got a glass a water and then went to the bathroom to get the medicine that wonwoo had forgotten to get for himself before.
he then went to the bedroom and walked inside, shutting the door behind him. he saw wonwoo sat on the bed on his phone, causing him to let out a tut. it was obvious the older hadn't noticed him walk in yet, which made sense since he had entered very quietly.
he headed closer to him, wonwoo noticing him being in the room only once mingyu was right in front of him. the older was about to say something, but stopped as mingyu gently took his phone from his hands, turning it off and placing it on the bedside table. "the whole point of you being here is to rest," he playfully scolded him again, causing wonwoo to show a lip-closed smile.
"i know, but i'm not even tired," wonwoo said, the younger nodding and sitting down on the edge of the bed next to him. "and you're overreacting, i'm fine!"
"still, you have a fever and a headache, it'll go away quicker if you rest," he said, giving him the glass of water and medicine. wonwoo sighed, taking both, swallowing the medicine with the water. "come on, lay down and sleep."
wonwoo pouted slightly, but still did as he was told and laid down, but continued to stare at mingyu. "i can't sleep if i'm not tired."
"fine. then what can i do to make you tired?" mingyu asked, gently playing with the other's hair as wonwoo thought for a few seconds. (i might just be dirty minded, but that sounds kinda... ANYWAYS)
after thinking for a short while, wonwoo lifted his arms up suddenly, shocking mingyu. "lay with me, i'll get to sleep in no time," mingyu smiled as soon as he said that.
"well, there's no way i'd say no to that," he laughed as the older shuffled over and mingyu laid down next to him, putting an arm around him so wonwoo's head was laying on his chest. he then continued to play with his hair as wonwoo relaxed and closed his eyes.
mingyu carefully kissed his forehead, before he rested his head on his. after around two minutes, he was shocked to hear the slowed down breaths of wonwoo. "...you really meant the 'in no time' part, huh?" he let out a short and quiet laugh, not wanting to wake him up.

i finally updated!!!!! kinda of a lot later than i said i would as well, so i'm sorry about that but it's okay since i'm here now!
i hope this is okay for the person who requested it, and i'm also sorry that it's not that long, i wasn't sure how to make it longer <33
also don't mind what i said near the end of this one. yes, i'm not comfortable writing smut, but yes i'm also kinda dirty minded. we don't talk about that😭
