"hyuck, when was the last time you spoke to mark?" renjun, donghyuck's best friend, asked.
"it's been around a week," he replied. "but he's been busy with school and stuff."
the older frowned at him. "don't you miss him?"
"of course i do! but i don't want to bother him, so i'll wait until he speaks to me first. then i know that he's fine to talk," donghyuck explained to him.
"let's hope that he's free soon then," renjun said.
"yeah―︎" donghyuck was cut off when his phone started ringing. he looked at it and saw that it was a facetime call. he grabbed it so that he could see who was calling and he squealed, making renjun have the fright of his life.
"hyuck what―︎"
"sorry, junnie! gotta go!" donghyuck said and was about to rush to his room.
"what? but what am i meant to do? i'm in your house!" renjun exclaimed.
"i don't know! go hang out with jaemin and jeno or something," donghyuck said before rushing off, not listening to whatever else renjun said.
donghyuck rushed into his room and jumped onto his bed, quickly answering the call before it ended. he was then greeted with his boyfriend's face, which immediately made him smile.
"hey, hyuck is. what took you so long to answer?" mark asked, smiling.
"renjun kept bothering me," donghyuck responded and mark rolled his eyes playfully.
"don't be mean, hyuck. but why was he bothering you? couldn't he have just gone and hung out with those two boyfriends he has?" mark then said.
donghyuck nodded. "yeah i told him that, but i don't know why he was so bothered by it... anyway, enough about renjun! how's school been?"
"school has been okay, stressful, but okay! i'm sorry i haven't been able to call you, sunshine," mark told him.
donghyuck shook his head, still smiling. "don't apologise, markie! it's fine. you can take as much time as you need."
mark smiled. "alright. anyway, how have you been doing, love?"
"i've been good! but i've missed you~" donghyuck whined.
