"cheollie, did you hear?" jeonghan, seungcheol's best friend said.
"what?" he asked, confused.
"of course you didn't," he muttered. "anyway, there's a new transfer student coming. apparently he's super cute."
"and why do i care?" seungcheol scoffed.
"come on, seungcheol! i get that you're like the most popular guy in the school, but when are you going to actually like someone?" jeonghan said, crossing his arms.
"never," the older replied.
"yeah sure," jeonghan said sarcastically. "that's what i said until jisoo appeared. and look at us now, we're happy boyfriends of six months."
"well i'm not you," seungcheol rolled his eyes.
"don't roll your eyes at me. i'm being a good friend!" jeonghan exclaimed.
"really? how?" seungcheol raised an eyebrow.
"i'm trying to get you a boyfriend so you won't be lonely for life!" the younger said.
"and since when have i been gay?" he asked.
"since forever," jeonghan replied as if it was obvious.
"i'm not talking to you anymore," seungcheol said, getting annoyed at how the other was acting.
"whatever, i bet you'll really like him," jeonghan huffed and looked around the cafeteria before spotting his boyfriend and rushing over to him, not bothering to even tell seungcheol.
seungcheol didn't even need to look to know why jeonghan rushed off like that, it was obvious why he did. ever since his best friend got a boyfriend he's been... lonely? him and jeonghan used to hang out 24/7 but everything changed.
he clicked his tongue before standing up and walking out of the cafeteria. he decided to have a wonder round the school since he was bored and didn't know what to do.
"seungcheol!" said boy turned around when he heard his name get called and was greeted with a teacher motioning for him to come over. he furrowed his eyebrows and walked over to her.
"what do you need, mrs kim?" he could tell she needed something by the hopeful look on her face.
"i was wondering if maybe you could show the new student around the school. it'll be super easy, he's so sweet and will cause you no trouble at all," she said and seungcheol was about to speak but she cut him off. "but you never really had a choice in the first place. i'll bring him out."
seungcheol's mouth hung open in disbelief of what he just heard. he had show the new transfer kid around the school? he was practically dying inside right now.
a few minutes later, mrs kim walked back out with a boy behind her. seungcheol almost choked at who he saw. as much as he hated to admit it, jeonghan was definitely right, this boy was adorable. he took a deep breath in and smiled at the boy who was very obviously nervous.
"i'll leave you two be. be nice, seungcheol," the woman said before walking off, leaving the duo there by themselves.
seungcheol looked over to the boy who was fiddling with his sweater paws. he found it adorable but shook off the thoughts and walked closer to him. the boy looked up at him, confused.
"name?" seungcheol asked.
"...chan," he slowly replied.
"seungcheol," he said his name before asking another question. "how old are you?"
"seventeen," he answered quicker this time.
"your should call me hyung then, okay?" seungcheol said, an eyebrow raised. the younger nodded immediately and seungcheol smiled before motioning him to follow. he was dreading this at first, but now he may or may not of changed his mind.
chan quickly trailed behind him as they walked down the hall. seungcheol wasn't really sure what to show him, so he decided to just walk around until there was something necessary to tell him. but can you blame him? he's never been a tour guide before. seungcheol suddenly stopped making the other shocked and stop as well. the older turned to look at him.
"show me your schedule," he said. chan did as he was told and showed him. he read it and nodded before handing it back to him. "most of your classes are the same as mine. others are the same as my friends. so you can just go with me or them until you get used to the school, okay?" seungcheol explained to him and he didn't miss how chan smiled slightly at what he said.
chan nodded. "thank you, hyung."
seungcheol nodded with a smile on his face and they continued walking. talking every now and then as they did.

"hannie, i have a problem," seungcheol exclaimed as he rushed over to his best friend who was walking out of the school.
"what is it?" jeonghan asked, confused.
"i like the new kid. i really like him..." seungcheol said and jeonghan's eyes widened.
"that isn't a problem, you idiot! i told you that you'd like him! why didn't you listen to me?!"
