beomgyu noticed that something was off with taehyun. he wasn't sure what it was, but he knew something was going on and wanted to know what it was. he was worried.

he sighed as he watched as taehyun continued to listen to what their manager was saying, but he himself wasn't paying attention to a single word, way too focused on making sure that his boyfriend was okay. he saw how taehyun would show a face of discomfort every now and then. beomgyu looked him up and down, trying to see if he could figure out what was wrong once again.

"―︎gyu! beomgyu!" he finally snapped out of his thoughts when he heard his name get called. "i've been calling you for like the past minute. is everything okay?"

beomgyu took another glance at taehyun before turning back to his manager and nodded hesitantly. "yeah, um... yeah, everything's fine." nothing was fine.

"you sure?"

"yeah, i'm sure." he wasn't sure.

the other members looked at him suspiciously, including taehyun, and beomgyu just sighed. he turned back to their manager, actually focusing on what he was saying this time, but still glancing over to taehyun every now and then.

"okay, that's all i have to say. remember to practice, but also get some rest. you can all go home now."

they all thanked him and bowed on the way out of the door and as soon as they were out they all started chatting. well, except for taehyun. but it seemed as if beomgyu was the only to noticed taehyun's strange behaviour. usually taehyun was the one to be talkative after they finished and were heading home, but today he was quiet and stayed behind them.

beomgyu sighed again and walked over to soobin. "hyung, have you noticed that taehyun has been acting kinda off today?"

the leader nodded. "i have actually. but to be honest, if he'll listen to anyone, it's you. talk to him and find out what's wrong since it's obvious that something is wrong with him."

the younger nodded. "i will when we get home."

soobin smiled at him and ruffled his hair before going over to yeonjun and huening kai who were talking with each other. for the rest of the time going home, beomgyu didn't spend time talking to the other members like usual. he spent his time watching taehyun and making sure that he was okay. luckily, taehyun didn't notice how the older was basically staring at him 24/7.

they got to their dorm and they decided they they were going to practice some more before taking a rest. beomgyu noticed soobin whispering to yeonjun and huening kai about something and had an idea at what it was about, but was certain when the leader looked at him and nodded. the three walked off the the room they were going to practice in and taehyun was about to follow them when suddenly beomgyu gently grabbed his hand and turned him around.

it made the younger confused and also shocked. "gyu, what's wrong? we need to go and practice."

beomgyu shook his head. "are you okay?"

taehyun furrowed his eyebrows, acting as if he was confused but beomgyu saw right past it. "what do you mean? of course i'm okay."

"don't pretend, hyunnie. i've noticed how you've been acting off all day. soobin hyung has noticed it as well," beomgyu explained. "please, just tell me what's wrong."

taehyun sighed, knowing very well that he wasn't going to be able to get away with it anymore now that his boyfriend had confronted him.

"hi just... i've been feeling really sick since this morning and i have a fever and a massive headache. but i didn't say anything about it since i didn't want to cause problems since we have a busy schedule and all that," taehyun explained quickly but beomgyu understood.

"taehyun..." beomgyu lifted his hand and placed the back of it on the younger's forehead. "you have a really bad fever, you can't be doing this. you're sick and you need rest."

"but―︎"

"no buts! you're taking a rest and that's final. go to our room and I'll tell the others, okay?" beomgyu said.

"fine," taehyun responded before heading towards their bedroom.

beomgyu smiled now that he finally knew what was wrong with taehyun, but frowned when he remembered that his boyfriend was sick and had been hiding it. he sighed and walked to where the others were so he could explain.

"beomgyu, there you are! where's taehyun?" yeonjun said once he entered the room.

"taehyun is going to have a rest... he has a fever and a headache and has been feeling really sick since this morning so i'm going to look after him. that's okay, right?" beomgyu explained and the others nodded.

"that's completely fine," soobin said. "i'll call and tell manager about it now, okay?"

"yeah, and make sure to look after him so he gets better quicker," huening kai then pointed out.

beomgyu smiled. "i will. now, i'll leave you guys to practice."

yeonjun smiled back. "well be here if you need anything."

beomgyu nodded and then left the room to go and see how taehyun was doing. before he went to their room, he grabbed a glass of water and some medicine for taehyun's headache, knowing that that was most likely the thing that was bothering him the most.

after grabbing the things he needed, he immediately went to their bedroom and went inside. he saw taehyun sat on the bed, a frown on his face. he went over and sat next to the other, making him look up. he gave the water and medicine to him and the younger thanked him before taking it.

"lay down, you need rest," beomgyu said.

taehyun nodded, not having the energy to argue with the older, and he also knew that he would lost the argument anyway so there wasn't really a point. beomgyu helped his boyfriend get under the covers and get comfortable before gently stroking his hair, knowing that taehyun loved it when he does that and that it would help him relax more and fall asleep quicker.

taehyun reached out, in search for beomgyu's other hand, and once he found it he held it tightly. the older smiled and squeezed taehyun's hand gently in return. and not long after, like beomgyu had thought, taehyun fell asleep.
