kevin sighed as he watched his best friend talk on the phone with his boyfriend. kevin and chanhee had decided to hang out with each other today and of course, the younger's boyfriend had to call.

don't get kevin wrong though, he was so glad that his best friend was happy. he's never seen him this happy, but it just disappointed him because... well because he had a crush on chanhee.

he has for at least three years now, and when he found out that the other has a boyfriend, he was devastated. he never planned on actually confessing, but he still couldn't help but he sad when he found out the news.

it's only been a couple weeks since chanhee told him that he has a boyfriend, but it feels like it's been years. he can't even count the amount of times he wished that he was in chanhee's boyfriend's place. or in other words, he wanted to be chanhee's boyfriend.

kevin wanted to be the one that chanhee went to whenever he was sad, kevin wanted to be the one that chanhee said he loves, kevin wanted to be the one that could hold chanhee in his arms forever, kevin wanted to be chanhee's boyfriend.

...but he can't.

he can't be chanhee's boyfriend and he can't do any of the things he wishes he could do.

"kevin, is everything okay? you've been spacing out a lot," chanhee asked, worried.

the older nodded his head. "i'm fine, chanhee. don't worry."

just by one sentence chanhee knew that his best friend wasn't okay. he can't even remember the last time kevin called him chanhee when he wasn't mad or upset. he would always come up and call him some nickname or pet name so it confused him and worried him when he heard that.

"anyway, i'm gonna go to the toilet real quick, i'll be back in a sec," kevin suddenly said before standing up and walking off.

changee sighed as he stared in the direction kevin walked off in and suddenly got an idea. he bit his bottom lip before shaking his head.

"it's worth a try," he whispered to himself, before standing up and quickly catching up to kevin and secretly followed behind him, a good distance away.

he followed kevin quietly and was confused when he saw that the older didn't go in the direction of the toilets. he furrowed his eyebrows but continued to follow him. after around a minute kevin stopped in front of a classroom and walked inside, closing the door after him. chanhee went up to it and slowly opened the door slightly so he could hear what they were talking about.

"hyung, it's so frustrating..."
it was kevin's voice.

"i know, i know. but not telling him is just hurting you more." it was... jacob's voice?

"no it isn't. not telling him his better than confessing to him and getting rejected. he has a boyfriend!"

"but this is just going to continue on and on and soon you're accidentally going to confess. you need to tell him so he knows... he's known you since you were kids! and he already knows that something's up with you."

"chanhee has a boyfriend! a boyfriend! if i confess to him he'll get mad at me, and i'm sure his boyfriend will too."

chanhee's eyes widened, finally understanding what they were talking about.

"kevin, did you leave the door open?" jacoob suddenly said and chanhee heard a chair move and someone walk towards the door.

chanhee was about to run when suddenly the door opened and he was greeted with jacob staring directly at him. the older's eyes were wide as he stared at chanhee and suddenly kevin walked up from behind jacob.

"chanhee..." they both whispered.

"ummm..." chanhee hummed, not sure what to say.

"h-how long have you been standing there?" kevin asked, nervous.

chanhee stared at both of them. "s-since the start... i followed you here..."

"as much as i want to help... i feel like this is something you two should deal with yourselves," jacob suddenly said and then walked off without letting them answer.

with the older now gone, chanhee felt himself become less nervous and turned to look at kevin. "we need to talk."
